@Vaporman

I do watch parties online with my friends, and we have inadvertently embroiled ourselves in a game of chicken, each of us suggesting increasingly awful movies. That's how we ended up watching things like Exorcism at 60,000 Feet and Santa JAWS.

We're actually meeting up tomorrow night to see Maximum Overdrive at the Mahoning Drive-in.

Normally we see some amazing stuff there (They primarily do epic double and triple features of retro movies, horror, etc). My buddy Todd loves Maximum Overdrive for all its crappy goodness, so I made this to egg him on for tomorrow.

That's superb. The film was terrible enough to make King abandon film directing, but I consider it a guilty pleasure.

Ha, yes! He's actually apologized for the movie. Apparently he was doing a ton of coke at the time. Definitely a guilt pleasure.

Bill and Ted Face the Music

Good flick. And the cast members' comebacks makes it even better.

The outcome: Totally not bogus!

Don't Breathe

It's modern movies like this that prove there's still hope for the horror genre.

Don't Breathe is quite a solid film. Who knew a killer that's a blind guy could work so well?

The Last Starfighter

Haven't seen this movie in a long time! Although the CGI looks terrible it still is a fun ride and I love the positive message.

Fun fact- the Director Nick Castle played Michael Myers "the shape" in Halloween

@echidna: I didn't realize that. That's crazy. Great movie. The Ernest Cline book "Armada" is a lot like The Last Starfighter.

Another fun fact... the movie was originally just going to be called "Starfighter", but the similarity to "Star Wars" made the creators fear LucasFilm might sue.

Miami Blues

Underrated, but good.

The Suicide Squad

WB gave the car keys to James Gunn to make a movie his way and it mostly works great. It is a substantial improvement over the first squad movie and Gunn has grown as an action director. There are some scenes that don't work and should have been cut but overall I would give the movie a solid B. I never expected to see Starro in a live action movie lol

I also just watched The Suicide Squad. Funny thing, as I was watching it, I was thinking, "Gee...this is reminding me of Guardians of the Galaxy, like A LOT. Then I found out Gunn was invloved and it all made sense.

So, he's obviously reusing some of his little tropes and tricks, but I still enjoyed the movie quite a bit and agree with your solid B rating, echidna.
