I hear the drums echoing tonight

But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation.

Well. I saw Dave's Killer Bread in a store the other day and bought a skinny-sliced loaf. It's really good. So far I have had it for toast, cold sandwich, and grilled cheese. It's good for everything. Now I might not buy it often, since it hasn't appeared yet in any of my four regular grocery stores; and Mrs steak can't eat it (allergies); but I do recommend it for sure. Thanks, years later, for telling me about it.

No problem, I owe you one because I went to a Steak N Shake in Iowa on account of your username and loved the place!
On an interesting note, I found out about Dave's Killer Bread from fellow member, Eddstarr who made a post about it on Retrojunk almost 7 years ago.

I enjoy Dave's Killer Bread as well. I tried it out back over the summer when my mother brought home a loaf for the house. It's a lot healthier then the previous bread I used to eat and I think I will stick to it full time.

The only draw back is that it doesn't feel so good coming out of you.

That's kind of funny. Maybe in 4 years I will pass it to somebody else.

Glad you went to Steak n Shake.  I was trying to spread the word and you (anybody) took it. They have a couple here but not in the city, so it's something of a pilgramage when I go.

By the way I have the same problem with  my  homemade bread.  It's good and all, but way  more fragile than anything from the store. Pretty crumbly and I have to be careful with a slice, unless it's really thick.

So I'm through with my swim class for the semester. We took our final measurements yesterday and I'm happy with the results. My blood pressure decreased from 146/91 to 139/91. My heart rate went from 84 bpm to 60 bpm. I lost ten pounds and my BF% decreased by .05%.

I'm going to continue on throughout the summer. If I actually stick to a committed diet plan, I will probably see even better results.

So I'm on my new diet. One week in, I'm already down twenty-two pounds. I expect it to start stagnating soon, but I theorize even with a slow down that I'll reach my original summer's end goal of being below 300 pounds by the middle of July.

I also have to recommend a product for you all: Badia Kale Flakes. I saw this in ShopRite last week and thought it would be an interesting product to try. It's actually really good, I've been using it to season my fish with. It doesn't have any of the bitter taste that kale normally has while still having the the nutritional benefits.

Great Rick! Maybe I'll give those flakes a try on some salmon.
