Yeah, a password system would've been most useful. Especially for the Dr. Wily levels.

But you never get a password for the Dr Wily levels!

Funny how advances in the technology of gaming change our priorities of play. In the days of Mega Man, it was all about the challenge.

Today, for me at least, it's more about uncovering the story elements. Don't challenge me too much, because I want to see what happens next (Mass Effect, for example).
