Sabu was pretty awesome during his ECW days.

I'll just stick with one name for the time being, Jerry Lawler.

I just finished watching The Resurrection of Jake The Snake, a documentary based on his recover form addiction. It was very inspirational and well worth a watch. I figured he deserved a mention in this thread.

I had seen him in another documentary about has-been wrestlers, and he was going on about his struggles. I felt bad for the guy.

Jake Roberts could've been World Champ material, but sadly he wasn't.

The best thing he had going for him was his dialogue. He was great at his gig.

I recently listened to Jake the Snake on Stone Cold's podcast, where the spent the entire time discussing the psychology of wrestling. It was fascinating some of the thought that Jake put into the character.

For example: he would never say, "I'm going to kill you" to an opponent. He would instead say, "I'm going to make you wish you were dead." The reason being is that if you say you are going to kill someone in wrestling, the audience knows that is not going to actually happen. Thus, you just lied to your audience, and now everything else you say can be taken with a grain of salt, since you've betrayed their trust. So, by rewording things, you keep the element of trust and thus make your character more believable.

It blew my mind that someone would go in an analyze something that most of us would never think of to that degree.

Another ECW wrestler I appreciate is Nova. There's no denying this man's talent. They used him in WWE for a brief period of time as a fitness guru guy named "Simon Dean". We know how that went.

3 moves in 1.

The Undertaker has always been my favorite. My favorite version of him was in the early 2000's when he was the american bad *ss/big evil. He was a great good guy as ABA but then an even better bad guy as big evil, he talked more and in a more normal way(even though he talked a bunch in the ministry of darkness) instead of talking like frankenstein or something. and he always had great comebacks. And his entrance wasn't as long.

I still like the other eras of him but i just thought he was so cool at that time.

And then in the 2002 royal rumble when maven eliminated him. It was a really great moment:
