44677Happy belated 30th anniversary to The Wizard (90 Minute commercial for Nintendo and Universal Studios Hollywood)

Awesome. Oh, fun fact: In spite of thr film being panned by critics and people s*** talking the film, most of the cast members actually have reunions for this film. I say most because the kid who plays Lucas is a registered sex offender. Apparently he couldn't keep his power gloves off the children like Fred Savage told him to
RetroSnob88Dec 19, 2019View

44675Forgotten Cartoons
@Vaporman87 - Speaking of Wolfman Jack, did you know that back in the 1980's, he had his own Saturday Morning cartoon? Wolf TV. Because the show used a lot of copyrighted music videos it has never been released on DVD or for streaming and likely never will be since the music videos made up a good chunk of the show. It is considered the only Dic (guys who did it. They also made Inspector Gadget, the 2nd iteration of Heathcliff, The Real Ghostbusters, Ulysses 31, The Mysterious Cities of Gold, and those bad Nintendo cartoons just to name the bajillions of shows they did as a studio) show that is lost because of this. Anyway, Wolf TV hasn't aired since it was new in 1985 and probably never will air again considering there was more demand for GI Joe and Teddy Ruxpin than there was for Wolf TV in those days
RetroSnob88Dec 19, 2019View

44672Forgotten Cartoons
You know what lesser known cartoon I've been enjoying a lot of lately? Hmmkay, has anyone hear seen any of the Killer Tomato movies from the 70's and 80's? Did you know they did a cartoon of it back in the early 1990's? Like no joke! It aired on Fox Kids. In fact, it was one of the first shows on that line up alongside Bobby's World. Anyway, it's more or less what you would expect of the movies: Pure cheese done right. And they have the parachute guy from the movies. Anyway, all the episodes are free on YouTube
RetroSnob88Dec 19, 2019View
44671Happy belated 30th anniversary to The Wizard (90 Minute commercial for Nintendo and Universal Studios Hollywood)

I personally liked it for what it was. Yeah it was a bit cheesy but considering it's a kid's film, that's to be expected. The best part is Lucas showing off his mad Power Glove skills on the 1986 Squaresoft Racing game Rad Racer and then when he wins it he's all like "I love the Power Glove. It's so baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad". Or there was when the kids were at the Nintendo contest in Universal Studios Hollywood theme parks and the social worker who's been stalking them chases them throughout the studio on a tour bus as the guy hosting the tour is all like "Sit in your damn seats" or something to that extent. Yeah it had swearing but thankfully light swearing. Overall, a great guilty pleasure
RetroSnob88Dec 19, 2019View

44669BJ and the Chef (Original Kid Cuisine Mascots)
@Mr Magic - That's the original Kid Cuisine mascots that were used from 1990 (when the tv dinner was released commercially. Prior to that, it was a test market item in 1988) until 1993 when they were suddenly phased out for KC. Not much in the way of BJ and the Chef stuff exists except for some old stickers and a few old Kid Cuisine commercials starring them
RetroSnob88Dec 19, 2019View
