47081KISS - Beth

One of the greatest balads of the 1970's!

Some people simply don'y understand that a remarkable song has qualities that fall outside the timeframe of its creation. In otherwords, "Beth" by Kiss is Timeless.

There's nothing about this song that screams, "70's!". But that's the point. True musical creativity should not be in a straightjacket. And potential cannot be judged by outward appearances.

eddstarrMar 27, 2021View
47080Ad campaign for an awful breakfast cereal

Vaporman87 wrote :
Sometimes a little change here and there and a repackaging of the product can make all the difference.

-end quote
My friends and I loved the commercials, the cereal needed work. Kudos to General Mills for not giving up, graham crackers are a perfect idea for a breakfast cereal. Not only did Golden Grahams get the taste right, notice how even the color and texture were a big improvement. I can still see my favorite uncle hitting the remote when the Clackers ad came on when I would stop by for a visit. He hated those ads even more than my mom. I still find Clackers ads funny, but it was tough to get through the first 2 minutes of that video. Hey, that's what age does to ya! General Mills tried every trick in the book to increase sales. They packed toys in every box and teamed up with H-B's SatAM lineup for 1968. eddstarrMar 27, 2021View
47079The Café

Ben, I'm so grateful that pc gaming wasn't a thing in the 1970's - I would still be in high school right now, controller in hand!

Benjanime wrote :
glad to hear you had an amazing birthday, edd and is that an NES classic edition i see?

been playing the new crash bandicoot mobile game, crash on the run and it's actually pretty easy for me as far as those "runner" genre games go.

-end quote

eddstarrMar 27, 2021View

47077The Café
I remember that intro. The cartoons themselves were not as funny though. More childish and less risky.
Vaporman87Mar 27, 2021View

William Hanna and Joe Barbera created new adventures for Tom and Jerry for the first time since MGM closed their animation studio back in 1957!

eddstarrMar 27, 2021View
