While some perennial favorites like #4 Rice Krispies, #2 Cheerios, and #7 Cinnamon Toast Crunch all advanced, there were some major upsets to be had!</p><p style="margin: 0.8em 0px; color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-family: Arimo, Verdana, Arial; font-size: 15.2015px; line-height: 24.3224px;">The #33 seed French Toast Crunch pulled off a shocker and knocked out #1 seed Corn Flakes. The original breakfast cereal...the one that started it all is now out of the tournament. Also, #5 Fruity Pebbles fell to #28 seed Frankenberry, while #27 seed Boo Berry knocked off #6 Fruit Loops, and #3 Frosted Flakes fell hard to #30 Cookie Crisp.</p><p style="margin: 0.8em 0px; color: rgb(17, 17, 17); font-family: Arimo, Verdana, Arial; font-size: 15.2015px; line-height: 24.3224px;">It's shaping up to be quite a finish to this tournament with some of the heavyweights already gone before we even made it to the 'Sweetened 16" round. Can these upstarts continue to beat out the higher ranked competition? We'll just have to see how the voting goes.
