I'm in the middle of watching the show over for about the tenth time right now. The first two seasons, which were the black-and-white episodes of the show, were far superior to the color episodes. The tone was much more serious; you might even describe it as film noir at times. Some of the battles with villains looked like something out of a gangster movie, and the criminals occasionally died. Stuff like that certainly wouldn't pass for children's entertainment these days!</span></font><div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal;"><br></div><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/p0B1ufyXOds" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe><div style="font-family: Arial, Verdana; font-size: 10pt; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal;"><br></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana"><span style="font-size: 13.3333px;">Tragically, George Reeves, the star of the series, died at a fairly early age under mysterious circumstances. Though officially ruled a suicide, some believe he was murdered. For anyone interested in unsolved murders from the '50s or earlier, I definitely recommend reading up on the case. It's pretty interesting, and while the official suicide explanation isn't implausible, the suspects are suspicious enough to make you really wonder.</span></font></div> | Superman | Jul 30, 2017 | |
