I love the dialogue between Z and Barbatus leading into the battle:

Z: So these... these termites... their... their... these guys are not going to put up much of a fight right? I mean, we're talking about pushovers right?

Barbatus: Not really kid. Their five times our size, and they shoot acid from their foreheads.

*Z stops walking in horror at what he just heard*

But I wouldn't go so far as to say that Flik had only a one real character trait. I think he is very similar to Hercules from the 97 Disney film: He's a good hearted person that want's to get on the right side of his community. He's destructive when all he tries to do is help. He doesn't feel like he belongs, and all he wants is to be liked by the people around him.
Rick Ace RhodesSep 06, 2017View
