38561Freddy KruegerBut the non-Robert Englund Freddy is something I'd like to forget.Mr MagicDec 12, 2017View
38560Freddy KruegerI recently finished watching all of the movies that featured Freddy Krueger for the first time. A few of the sequels weren't my cup of tea, but I loved the original A Nightmare on Elm Street movie and Wes Craven's New Nightmare. The remake was okay, but I thought the way the new Nancy was portrayed wasn't nearly as good as the Heather Langenkamp version.SupermanDec 12, 2017View

While I don't know the reason for the change, I think I prefer them being portrayed as unrelated close friends like they were later on rather than as cousins.
SupermanDec 12, 2017View
38558Ready Player One
ThatDudeintheHoodie wrote :
The book itself is VERY 80s after the adventure begins. I'm not surprised at some modern stuff because 1. It's the future and 2. Rights are a thing. I heard only reason Iron Giant is in there is because they couldn't get the rights to use Ultraman. -end quote
I'm glad, the book had too many obscure Japanese references. The giant robot he picked in the book was some robot from a 70s robot live action deal. Iron Giant is sooooo much better, especially considering the American market that will be watching this.vkimoDec 12, 2017View

And you've got things like Mass Effect and Overwatch characters showing up. Still, if they can keep it mostly grounded in retro stuff, that's cool.
-end quote
It looks like they do, but yeah, the rights thing is probably why we see more modern stuff. ThatDudeintheHoodieDec 12, 2017View

38554Three Men and a BabyI hear there was no ghost boy. It was probably just some scheme to get people to buy the tape when it was released..Mr MagicDec 11, 2017View
