ArticleVaporman87I have to admit, 1987, 1988, and 1989 were probably my favorite years ever as a kid. Just such great times. The country was riding high on a great economy... people just saw life with renewed optimism. And there was so much great pop culture madness being created at that time. I would have been 14 years old (those numbers are reversed now :( ) and life was just so full of fun and adventure. I had gone through some difficult things by then (the divorce of my parents being the biggest issue) but I also had new and important family added to my life (my step-brother Bry being the most important - I just call him my brother). Lots of great movies in '88 for sure. Too many great ones to chose from, and then in '89... wow! That year is probably the greatest year ever to be a theater goer. Great times, my friend. Oct 07, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87Here's something sorely lacking from our seasonal trips down memory lane here... something on the aroma of it all. I too love the smell of Fall. The air is crisp and cool, which makes the smells all the more potent. I love that smell. Typically it's laced with the burning of wood in fireplaces around here, and something about that really strikes a chord with me. I think maybe it's because we often used the fireplace in the family room of my old childhood home, and when we did it was followed by all the festive and fun things about the season. The Smell of FallOct 07, 2015View

ArticleVaporman87What an awesome read! Ha! I loved every bit of this. Talk about having to live with the consequences of your actions... you big bully! Nah, I'm not innocent of picking on my little brother. I did that quite a bit, and have video evidence of it on VHS tapes. But I don't think I ever frightened him to death like this. That's just cruel man! But it REALLY works with the last name being Myers. So perfect. The Michael Myers ConnectionOct 08, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87What a perfectly memorable final Halloween to experience. Such a great story. I literally laughed out loud here in the office at these lines: "And by himself I mean he was very loud, overly active, and incredibly annoying. My mysterious night of fear was now downgraded to one bad *ss Michael Myers and his annoying high school sidekick." So now you've made ME look like a fool laughing at YOU and your friend looking like fools. Ah well, it was worth it. I would have been fumbling all over myself trying to apologize for making those kids cry. Poor things. Thankfully the parents were very understanding. My Final HalloweenOct 08, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87I'm not really sure what I just read, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Something about this REALLY puts one in the Halloween mood. For you, I'm guessing that's "mission accomplished".The Coming of the Autumn PeopleOct 08, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87I can't think of any candies that I loved that I ever had a difficult time finding, except for one: Mallo Cups. I've sung their praises before in the forum, but truth is they were very hard to find growing up. Nowadays they are luckily easily attainable at our local gas station, but other than that they can be tricky to locate even today. 4 Rare Retro CandiesOct 08, 2015View
