1948 | Article | jkatz | Did anybody else have The Simpsons Rainy Day Fun Book? Basically a giant activity book with card tricks, pranks, stuff you could cut out, and many more. I always thought it was bizarre because I never really considered The Simpsons to be a kid's cartoon per se. | Feb 10, 2015
1963 | Article | jkatz | I've never been to retro junk so this article is pretty much useless to me as far as nostalgia goes. But that Rocky 4 poster is amazing! I approved this piece just for that. | Remembering RetroJunk | Feb 11, 2015
1980 | vhsCover | jkatz | Actually I didn't write the descriptions for most of these.. I just scoured IMDB for lines from reviews that I liked. As for showing it in the theater, it's true that there's not a lot of action scenes, but there are plenty of cheesy laugh out loud moments! | Survival Game | Feb 12, 2015
1981 | Article | jkatz | This reminds me of Mr. Pibb, another long gone, sadly missed soda. Fortunately somebody ha he foresight to horde a few cans back in the day,and now it can be yours for the low, low price of $25 per can! http://www.sodafinder.com/products/mr-pibb | Things Are Going To Be OK | Feb 12, 2015
1988 | Article | jkatz | Yeah, I was talking about original Pibb. | Things Are Going To Be OK | Feb 12, 2015

2008 | Article | jkatz | Sounds like the show really left an impression on you! I can relate, a few years ago I bought the complete boxed set of Batman: The Animated Series and was finally able to watch full episodes after years and years of relying on vague memories from when I was little of how good it was. | Slam Dunk: The jewel of my childhood | Feb 17, 2015
2245 | Article | jkatz | I'm late to the party on this, but I read a story about Michael Ulsan (who's been involved with pretty much everything Batman related, ever) was meeting with some Kenner people, who through their contract were only allowed to make toys based of the movie and comics and apparently were out of ideas. Uslan shows them a bunch of old issues from the 50s, aka the ones with all the really crazy, outlandish stuff, and Kenner used them as inspiration for expanding their toyline. Always wondered if that's how my beloved "Capture Claw Batman" came to be.. | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 07, 2015
2246 | vhsCover | jkatz | I've actually seen this one...oy vey, what a stinker! | ASSASSINATION | May 07, 2015
2258 | Article | jkatz | Worst NES game in my opinion? Ghostbusters, hands down. Granted I've played a laughably small number of NES games and you could do "worst ever" lists like this ad infinitum because there's no shortage of subpar games from the decade- there's always some other title waiting to be rediscovered and lambasted again. But man, for some reason Ghostbusters really sticks with me; it actually traumatized me to the point where I wouldn't touch any NES games for a while! | NES: The 5 Worst Games | May 12, 2015 |
