2215ArticleHoju Koolander@both I totally wanted to add Alyssa as she was incredibly mesmerizing to me at 7 years old (commercials for that Teen Steam workout video rocked my world) but unfortunately she was nobody's sister and did not qualify for the list. A case could be made that she was Angela's son's surrogate sister, I just didn't think it fit. Definitely agree with you though.  Apr 13, 2015View
2217ArticleHoju KoolanderPretty awesome recollection of that brief moment in time. I wasn't allowed to drink caffeinated sodas, but the look of the Pepsi can prior to this re-design was such an iconic symbol of my childhood. I even invested in Pepsi Co. During my 6th grade stock market investment project. Way to dig up an not often discussed, but awesome topic. Well written too.The Pepsi Gotta Have It CardApr 14, 2015View
2224ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 I have a soft spot for promotional t-shirts as well, but the comment that interests me most is the Spuds McKenzie shirt. I have always found it fascinating how lenient adults were back in the day letting kids wear shirts for products they were not old enough to consume. Like Spuds or the Budweiser frogs. Most specifically I remember a girl in my weight training class in high school who wore a shirt crammed with cartoon characters in "Inappropriate" positions, but because they were drawings, no teacher ever noticed. It was crazy. @pikachulover At least you didn't put that on display for all to see outside your robe. That would have been B-A-N-A-N-A-S.Treasured ClothingApr 19, 2015View
2225ArticleHoju KoolanderAnother vote for Doo-Wop-A-Saurus! The interstitial segments were definitely what gave Nick its identity, much like the different Saturday Morning Cartoon segments the different networks had. But Nickelodeon always had that extra, artistic edge to them. My go to is always the "Nick-Nick-Nick-Nick-Nick-Nick-Nick-Nickelodeoooooooon". TDitH's Top 5 Nickelodeon BumpersApr 19, 2015View
2235ArticleHoju Koolander@Vaporman87 Yes, Batman was the king of variants, but he didn't have to be. He has the greatest rogue's gallery of 'em all. @thecrow174 Where did Shaq have a burger? How did I miss that? @echidna64 Did you ever do a crossover where a theme park of Predators on display ran amok and had to be captured by a very svelt Dennis Nedry? @massreality Now see whatcha done? I gotta go download some comics on my iPad. Sam Raimi has been trying to make another movie featuring The Shadow for years, fingers crossed.Kenner Action Toy Guide '94May 01, 2015View
2237ArticleHoju KoolanderI saw Mannequin for the first time a few years ago, I was just amazed at all the familiar faces. It was a real surprise to see "Captain Harris" outside of a Police Academy movie. This film actually has a lot of parallels to one of my guilty pleasures, Xanadu. Frustrated artist gets a magical dream girl to help him achieve success with multiple costume changes during musical montages. Yep, all that's missing is the roller skates. The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer was in Mannequin 2? This I gotta see!Mannequin - An Unappreciated ClassicMay 01, 2015View

2257ArticleHoju Koolander@thecrow174 I knew I would take some heat over Excitebike (pardon the pun), but I stand by it. As far as racing games go, Ironman Ivan Stewart's Off Road was infinitely more playable to me, almost hypnotic, but Excitebike just never cut it.NES: The 5 Worst GamesMay 12, 2015View
2259ArticleHoju KoolanderAw, you spoil all the fun by being civil ;) But it's true, naming the greats is totally subjective. Ninja Gaiden might he the greatest game ever, but if my brother flicked my ear every time I tried to play it, I would likely have bad memories of it and keep it off the list. 2261ArticleHoju Koolander@jkatz Ghostbusters was #6 on the list. it's actually so bad I don't even consider it a game, just an abomination. I could never make anything work on that game, even after reading the instructions. I never even got far enough to find something to complain about.NES: The 5 Worst GamesMay 12, 2015View
