Articleechidna64This was a great article! A white christmas is great but the wet slush and gloomy skies from January - March are no fun at all. My go to is a warm bowl of tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich with the coffee pot running all day. I usually watch Star Wars movies in the winter, particularly The Empire Strikes Back with the Battle of Hoth lol  Jan 13, 2021View
ArticleoniparRetroOtaku620: It's a pretty cool game, but I unfortunately don't have it anymore *and* it goes for a lot of money on the secondhand market. Vaporman87: Thanks! Admittedly, I do like winter any way you slice it, and especially with these few enhancements in place. Echidna64: Thank you! Oh man, tomato soup and grilled cheese is classic comfort! Gotta love it. Oh yes, the Star Wars movies were also released in December if I remember correctly, so the same kind of connection as the LOTR movies for sure. Surviving the Long, Cold WinterJan 13, 2021View

ArticleVaporman87I was, and still am, a fan of Earthworm Jim. I loved the bizarre humor of the games, and then was able to get my hands on a few comics and tune in to the animated show. I appreciate the art and humor of Doug TenNapel. Not only that, but his upbringing kind of formed him into a similar person to myself. We both attended Nazarene universities, we both like to illustrate and create, we have similar political views... things just align. The rise, fall, and resurgence of Earthworm JimJan 19, 2021View
ArticleJulieI remember the hype of Earthworm Jim in the magazines of the time, my only source on games. They showed photos and talked about the unusual art, the unique humor and especially about the superb animation from David Perry, a very famous programmer at the time and acclaimed by the industry and the players. Not to mention that the two cartridges had 16 megabits, something big for the time. Earthworm Jim were desired cartridges. Fortunately I had both releases at the time, for Sega Genesis. I miss that time of extremely charismatic and unforgettable characters. And by the way, very well written article as always, with the differentiated vocabulary that is already a mark of yours, my sweet @Benjanime. ❤❤The rise, fall, and resurgence of Earthworm JimJan 20, 2021View
ArticleBenjanime@Vaporman it's also interesting to see him go above and beyond in the gaming industry, to see him have his own company like that was very impressive looking back! @Julie it was so fun looking at all of the screenshots and seeing some behind the scenes stuff from nintendo power magazine, i still remember an issue where it showed doug next to a big earthworm jim sculpt! :D thanks for reading guys! The rise, fall, and resurgence of Earthworm JimJan 20, 2021View
ArticleBenjanime@Julie the magazines i saw them advertised in made them look so fun and interesting to have, and i remember seeing some even giving their own reviews too ;) i'm glad to see the switch getting its own accessories too, it really takes me back! thanks for your overwhelmingly cute compliments my love, and thanks for reading! The world of Game Boy Color AccessoriesJan 20, 2021View
ArticleoniparI used to love Earthworm Jim. I don't think I ever played anything past the original Genesis game though. That'd be cool if they made a new one that was accessible. The rise, fall, and resurgence of Earthworm JimJan 21, 2021View
Article I bought those subtitled Sailor Moon VHS tapes at Suncoast! I wanted the episodes with Sailor Saturn that were never going to make it to this country. My dad just dug out that old VHS with the home-printed stickers on the side. Going to watch next weekend.
