Such a weird choice for a "cuddly" toy. Right there with you on recording to tape! I personally commandeered every cassette recording device in my house to record old-timey radio dramas, morning drive comedy shows and NPR style interview segments. For Christmas a few years ago my sister got me a brand new tape recorder and some blank tapes to pay tribute to my old hobby. My dad said originally there was a ruby colored pane of glass and when the face came to the window it was actually your distorted reflection in the candlelight. Another thing kids do there is walk backwards on the small border stones until they fall off, giving them the years they have left. I have seen the weeping woman of Logan cemetery, the weeping woman of Spanish Fork, the car headstone since removed from Payson cemetery, and memory grove among others. One of the coolest cemeteries is just outside Ophir or Mercury can't remember which that is about 50 yards off the roadway leading to an old mining town. I too am a big M.A.S.K. fan (probably my favorite toy line/cartoon of the past, second only to Masters of the Universe. I was anticipating a revival of everything familiar, only to see that a lot of things had been changed. I think the straw that broke the camel's back for me was changing Matt Trakker into an African-American. If the writers wanted to make the property more diverse, more power to them. But do it with a NEW character! Don't go making major changes to the old ones. Make your new leader a disciple of the original Matt Trakker, or a friend... or anything but the actual Matt Trakker! Understand that my sense of aversion to these types of changes are heightened because of the world we live in now, with it's precious snowflake infested safe spacer political correctness running amok. Not to mention I found this out around the same time I was finding out that Iron Man was now a young woman of color. What?!
