1528 | Article | NLogan | Gleaming the Cube was awesome. Tony Hawk is the guy with the Pizza Hut truck. <img style="width: 373px; height: 281px;" src="http://uncletnuc.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/3e171-huttruck1.png"> I always wanted a Powell Peralta Skull and Snake McGill board, or the Tony Hawk Skull board but never got one. I had a relatively obscure Bob Reeves Airbourne deck with a dragon on skulls with Independant trucks and either OJ or Slimeball wheels. At one point I had Gull wing trucks. Before that I had a Nash board from either K-Mart or Shopko I can't remember. I drew all kinds of skate designs on my school folders and had stickers in my locker. I sprained my ankle getting a signature from Tony Hawk at a vert demo. I always wore either my checkered vans or my black ones. I never did get into the MC Hammer skater pants though. My little brother turned out to be a way better skater than I ever was. I bought him a Zero board with three skulls on it and matching helmet and knee pads. | Nov 25, 2014
190 | Article | raptor | Glad you'all enjoyed it. I have a great deal of memories wrapped up in ShowBiz, so to discover some of this info was a bit of time warp. | ShowBiz Pizza Remembered | Jan 25, 2013

1692 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Glad to see you got to analyze your own Christmas photos, very impressive. The picture of you "bowing" your brother is pretty much the cutest thing ever (yeah, guys can say cute!). You got a lot of great gifts over the years, but I have to say I'm most impressed that Santa had super hero coloring books to give out instead of candy canes, that's my kinda Santa! Also, are the girls on either side of Santa supposed to be elves or Nuns? | NLogan's Retro Christmas | Dec 18, 2014
3658 | Article | Vaporman87 | Glad to see this one back on the site. It was a great look into the life behind the counter. It was sad to see the last of our local rental stores close up just recently. I don't know of any anywhere local now. | The Video Store Clerk | Jan 03, 2017
5153 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Glad to see the series return from hiatus! Fascinating discussion about what "Adamantium Laced" could really mean. | Wolverine a Reader's Perspective Part 20 | Mar 16, 2020
2013 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Glad to know we're not alone on this one. @Vaporman87 Yeah, talking about the "hottest babes" in school was definitely a topic during sleepovers. A lot of times we would go through the yearbook and rate the girls, but acting the encounters out with action figures is a great twist. @vkimo If only our kids could stay in the sweet, safe glow of the SNES, but alas "That Internet" comes a callin'. | Sleepovers | Feb 17, 2015
3895 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Glad to hear your story. Surfing cable was really an adventure back in the day. I loved Talk Soup on the E! Network and would watch pretty much anything on USA. Those Internet trips to the library sound like a blast, fan sites on Geocities, man. I made one for the fictional band Steel Dragon from the movie Rock Star around 2000. Proof that anybody could use that software. | 1997: My Year of Change | May 15, 2017 |
