4191ArticlejkatzDo they even make movie trading cards anymore? The whole appeal of these was to get photos and stills, something that's kinda pointless with a little thing called the internet. I think the last film I saw get the card treatment was the Halle Berry Catwoman flop, and that feels like a lifetime ago. Still, these can be fun to collect. I have a bunch of Batman Returns ones and an unopened M*A*S*H packet, complete with an ancient stick of gum! Nov 06, 2017View
4210ArticlejkatzI found an unopened VHS tape of the Robocop cartoon at a thrift store once (in fact, it's the same one you used a picture of). It's interesting because until now, I've never heard anybody mention it, even in passing. In this nostalgic period where even the most obscure 80s cartoon gets its time in the sun, I'm going to guess this one was forgotten for a reason. You gotta love the tagline on the Dino-Riders toys, too. Why can't scientists forget about global warming and focus on discovering the important issues...like how to harness the power of dinosaurs!?SUNDAY Morning CartoonsNov 29, 2017View
4215Articlejkatz@Hoju: Of course I did, how could I not? As cool as it is, I don't really have a need for it, since I don't have a VCR anymore and I was never going to bust open the packaging anyway. You want it?SUNDAY Morning CartoonsNov 29, 2017View
4334ArticlejkatzThat header image cracked me up. You should consider doing a webcomic, if you haven't already.Tales of a Picky EaterMar 27, 2018View
4333ArticlejkatzDon't you dare remove that shrink wrapping! That thing is a priceless collector's item. Why, one day you'll be able to pay for your kid's college with it ;). My elementary school would store their vhs tapes in those exact same containers..talk about a flashback. The first two Lone Wolf films were edited together and released as "Shogun Assassin" here in the states. Just felt like sharing that.VHS OdysseyMar 27, 2018View

4287ArticlejkatzAs a Clash fan, it's always nice to seem them included in something. Not including Boston's "More Than A Feeling" is a considerable oversight in my opinion (unless you intentionally left it out because it's too popular or something)Top 80s Songs with Handclaps in themFeb 14, 2018View
4288ArticlejkatzThis article brought back memories of the martial arts classes that I took from the 6th to the 10th grade. My instructor had stacks and stacks of these magazines, as well as other cool magazines like Wizard and Heavy Metal. He had all the equipment mentioned here too..it wouldn't surprise me if this is where he ordered it from! I sure would like to see that Ninja movie advertised in the offer, but with such a generic title and no listed director, tracking it down will be tricky. I did find Douglas Ivan on IMDB though. I think. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0411930/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1Retro Magazine RoundUp: Black BeltFeb 14, 2018View
4291ArticlejkatzMy bad! I always assumed it was an 80s song (and even my mp3 file is labeled as such). Still, that's a very good reason for it not making the list.Top 80s Songs with Handclaps in themFeb 15, 2018View
