4959 | Article | Benjanime | always nice to see how much of an impact burton's movie left on the film industry, taking gotham and evolving it into a dark, gothic and industrial-looking landscape inspiring future comics to emulate his craftmanship just proves how big it was to the franchise. great article showcasing all the neat stuff that came from it, awesome article as always hoju :) | Jun 21, 2019

5665 | Article | Julie | AMAZING article, my perfect @Benjanime! ❤ Amazing initiative! ❤ Commendable! ❤ I never had drugs experience, thank God! And since my childhood, back in the 80's, drugs were a taboo. It really saddens me that the current culture praises that and other wrong things that, in the 80's and 90's, were (and are) wrong. I agree with your text here, my sweet @Benjanime, and I love you for the initiative on bringing back the good memories of a superior time in comparison with today. I love you! ❤❤ | How DARE Failed to Prevent Drug Use | Jul 25, 2022

600 | Article | Vaporman87 | An awesome article that's right in my wheelhouse. As for my favorite of the two, I would naturally gravitate toward He-Man because that is the show I watched regularly in my childhood. But I can see why, having no prior experience with either, one would choose as you have. There is a bit more creativity in the characters and stories in She-Ra, but without He-Man there would be no She-Ra. So a bit of what makes She-Ra good is owed to He-Man. You mentioned Paul Dini who was very good at making the most of what he was given. But most folks in the "He-Man" cognoscenti will quickly refer to Larry DiTillo as their favorite episode writer. He is credited with creating some of the series most beloved (non-Mattel) characters (who are just now, with the advent of the Masters of the Universe Classics series, getting their first taste of action figure love). His most famous creation being Granamyr, the oldest and wisest dragon of Darksmoke (I own the "classics" Granamyr figure and it's HUGE!). Larry also did episode writing for the 2002 He-Man series, and there he is also considered to have written some of the best episodes... especially those dealing with origin stories. Thanks for this article shakin! I really enjoyed it. | New Eyes on He-Man and She-Ra | Apr 30, 2013
579 | Article | Vaporman87 | An awesome list for sure. There are indeed a great many tunes from the 80's centered around making a living, or enjoying the high life, among other themes involving money. So many hits on the list too. It's not a wonder why so many have labeled the 80's the "Decade of Decadence". Thanks for this OldSchool! | Top Songs from the 80s about MONEY | Apr 16, 2013 |
