1071Articleechidna64Wishbone was awesome! I loved the reenactments of classic works of literature. It actually inspired me to read the Count of Monte Cristo. I'd also throw Ghostwriter into the ring as well! Can't wait for what's next- Goosebumps vs Animorphs?  May 01, 2014View
1073ArticleMr MagicI remember watching Reading Rainbow in school. Good show. But I've never seen Wishbone.90's Vs: Wishbone vs Reading RainbowMay 01, 2014View
1074ArticleblueluigiOne of the subchannels in my local PBS affiliate actually continued to play Wishbone up to like 2009 or 2010. I never got into it when I was a kid. I always found it to be pretty boring. So, yeah, I'm leaning more towards Reading Rainbow for this. That was a show I enjoyed watching when I was a kid, and had some fond memories of it.90's Vs: Wishbone vs Reading RainbowMay 01, 2014View

1077ArticleThatDudeintheHoodieI'll see what I can do. Or I can do a past and present VS. Though everyone would know what would be first in that one.90's Vs: Wishbone vs Reading RainbowMay 02, 2014View
1079ArticlepikachuloverI never really liked Wishbone either. It was ok. I didn't like that there were 2 plotlines going on at the same time; the story Wishbone was telling and what was happening to the children. I liked Reading Rainbow because the shows were about different topics; the ocean, bees, pigs, cakes, nightlife, and fashion, etc. The just wasn't about the stories there would be different segments. But you don't have to take my word for it. 90's Vs: Wishbone vs Reading RainbowMay 05, 2014View
1106ArticleVaporman87The Reading Rainbow Kickstarter campaign (for a web series of the show - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/readingrainbow/bring-reading-rainbow-back-for-every-child-everywh) is going nuts. Well over $2 million dollars now, with 30 days to go. That's over $1 million OVER the goal, with oodles of time remaining. Cool.90's Vs: Wishbone vs Reading RainbowMay 30, 2014View
1069ArticleVaporman87I too greatly enjoyed Garfield and Friends, though when I watched it it was airing on network television. I was not aware that U.S. Acres was a comic strip by Davis that inspired the second half of each show. Thanks for that info. I never watched much of Rugrats or Hey Arnold!, so I can't really comment on them. I do know that their popularity (especially Rugrats) was readily apparent, even if you never watched a single episode. They were everywhere at one time. Lots of commercialization. I think my favorite SpongeBob episode is the one where SpongeBob meets Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy. You have to love Ernest Borgnine and Tim Conway! My daughter was a big Blues Clues fan when she was around three years old. She hasn't seen an episode of it for a few years now, but I feel a bit nostalgic for it, only because of the enjoyment we got out of it together.
