863ArticleMissMVaporman- I believe there was only one Children's Palace by us, it moved twice before closing down completely. It's so sad, because it was truly a great place. I gave my parents a great deal of grief for sure! lol And yeah, the comedian/rapper guy was a bit much. lol SegaFanatic- Yeah, I think it was important for there to have been more options. I wish there were now, but I guess all the options have moved to the Internet. Glad you enjoyed this! Trash Man- Oh my goodness, thank you for this comment! I had no idea about the origins of Children's Palace. I feel like there was a Child World at one of the nearby malls when I was little, but I vaguely recall it. I mostly just remember Children's Palace. Thank you for this comment! I had no idea. Children's Palace Was RealNov 19, 2013View

872ArticleMissMVaporman- I know! It was very nice to finally finish the second one. I've enjoyed action adventure games for sure, but there is just something special about an RPG for me. I don't even know why, because on paper they sound like very boring games, but I can't get enough of them. lol I never played the Phantasy Star Online games, but I heard it was a good game. I have the Phantasy Star Zero game on the DS, but I haven't played it yet. I'm always behind on that too. lol One thing I do enjoy and love about RPGs is the music. Benjanime_ I've heard the endings are pretty good. I've only gotten past the first generation, so I still have a long ways to go. The Role of Phantasy Star IIINov 26, 2013View
896ArticleMissMVaporman- Yeah, the movie was a bit campy. But since I love soaps, a bit of camp is like second nature to me. lol I was very very nervous about opening the cards. Once they are opened there is no going back, ya know? lol Just super scary. lol Trash Man- I never had the trading cards to this movie. I had the movie tie-in books and things like that, but I love love love these trading cards. And there was so much I wanted to mention, like Murray Futterman, but I didn't because I could have spent many more words about the characters and everything. I tried to reserve it to just the cards. lol There's always next time!Trading After MidnightDec 12, 2013View
2355ArticlejkatzVaporman, all I can say is if you love old cheesy b-movies (and who doesn't?), you're cheating yourself by not watching more Italian titles. It's actually quite amazing how one country can be responsible for both highbrow, arthouse cinema and some of the most shameless, trashy schlock possible. 988ArticleMissMVaporman, I've heard so many people talking about the Radio Shack commercial. I feel like it was the hit of this year's Super Bowl ads. And yes, the Whatchamacallit ad is just amazing isn't it? I also never had a reason to own a pager as the only people I'd talk to were my parents and brother, and I lived with them. lol I'm glad you enjoyed these commercials! pikachulover, I totally agree. There are so many commercials that just burrow themselves into my brain. And I have to agree, the 1984 Apple ad is a bit overrated now. I don't really get excited about it. Your high school assemblies sound completely amazing! I wish those had been video taped or something for us all to see. It sounds absolutely cool. Super Bowl CommercialsFeb 08, 2014View
1274ArticlefuschniktVaporman..I have to answer back with this.. 6th grade, German class. It was our first year and very early. We were supposed to create a board game in German. My group decided a cool idea would be if the player were swallowed by a giant snake. A German snake. Being so early in the year, we had to ask the teacher how to say "snake" in German. I volunteered, and upon asking the teacher she gave me this look. She said nothing. Simply wrote a word on a small post it. Handed it to me, again, with that look. Walking away, I thought that was so weird. then I looked at the paper. I guarantee, to this day, she thinks I just wanted her to say the word. Our game was called, "The German Snake," or "die deutsche schlange." The Not-So-Great PumpkinSep 18, 2014View

3845ArticleLazloVaporman87- I remember I spent a large part of that day listening to the concert over the radio, until the television networks started coverage during the evening. To me, it was an important event for our generation. A very memorable '80s event. Remembering Live Aid (1985)Apr 23, 2017View
