1412ArticleBenjanimeno, but after i got back home i'd posted my experience. it wasn't as good as some of the past 'howl-o-scream' halloween events. some of the attractions had little mazes to go through, but the employees that usually have to do their job to give people a scare didn't really do much in making them jump this time around. my stepdad took some photos of a few things that they had on display around the park Oct 09, 2014View
1413ArticleVaporman87I'd be interested in seeing them if you get the chance. Post them in the Halloween Nostalgia and More thread, if you ever feel inclined to. :)Haunting MemoriesOct 09, 2014View
1414ArticleHoju KoolanderI totally forgot that Elvira used to do a show at the Halloween Haunt! I remember going to Knott's one year while they were transforming it to Knott's Scary Farm and the workers setting-up the stage near the Mine Car ride said it was because Elvira was coming for the Haunt. Then you had to go and mention Kingdom of the Dinosaurs (sniff) that was the only reason I went to Knott's back in the day. I loved the animatronic scientist narrator, "YOU"RE GOING BACK IN TIME!"Haunting MemoriesOct 09, 2014View
1416Articlepikachulover@Hoju I remember the times I went to Elvira she was set up near the bumper cars. Her merchandise would be for sale after the show. It was mostly makeup. Too bad about that ride. I heard it had to be closed down because the roof caved in. The park should really do something with it. Even if they have to knock it down. It's in a good location and it has a lot of potential. They could expand the arcade or put a store there or something. Haunting MemoriesOct 10, 2014View
1418ArticleFulton4VI was at Knotts one time while visiting my aunt, uncle and cousins and they took us there. It was a very nice park and I wish I could have been there for the scary farm festival. Nice article.Haunting MemoriesOct 10, 2014View
1397ArticleNLoganOh man that creepshow bit the bugs gave me the willies too. I hate cockroaches. I have no problem with a praying mantis that cockroaches are closely related to. I lit a roach on fire once when I was in Brazil. Then he took off flying and almost lit the drapes on fire. I found him a week later after having been swatted out of the air, stepped on and squashed, burnt off wings and antennae but still crawling around happy as you please. Yechh roaches.Benjanime Scared Stupid IIIOct 08, 2014View
1399ArticleThatDudeintheHoodieFun fact about that runaway brain short. In Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance you get to fight the creature. Also I love creepshow. My favorite story from it is Father's Day. Though "They're creeping up on you" is good too.Benjanime Scared Stupid IIIOct 08, 2014View
1401ArticleVaporman87That is certainly a weird concept for a Garfield story. I may have to look that up just to see what that's all about. And I was always a little creeped out by Neff's "Welcome to your doom" statement. I remember thinking it was hilarious to go into the sound effects menu of the game and repeatedly activate that sound, then mix it with "Rise from your grave". I know this, because I have it tape recorded. LOL. Creepshow had some pretty goosebump inducing parts, as did the second one. Overall, I think they were both pretty well done, but they are what they are... kind of tongue-in-cheek horror. Nice article Ben, and a fine way to wrap up this series. Good to see you back at it again.Benjanime Scared Stupid IIIOct 08, 2014View
1402ArticleHoju KoolanderBen do you know if that Garfield special was based on the anthology graphic novel Garfield, His 9 Lives? I used to love reading that book, especially the one about the Vikings.Benjanime Scared Stupid IIIOct 08, 2014View
1403ArticleBenjanime@Hoju: sort of, but they changed a few of the stories around... i never did get to reading the book version, but my library used to have it. the tv special is extremely rare from my knowledge, and i've never seen it air on television before. @Vaporman87: good luck, your best bet is to either get it via torrent or dvd, because it's not available on any streaming sites. Glad you got a good read out of it :) @ThatDudeintheHoodie: interesting, i've been thinking about picking that up, but as far as the cartridge size for 3ds games go, i'd hope that i won't lose it around the house. @NLogan: i used to live in an old mobile home trailer from 1991 to 1997, and very rarely would i see one of those nasty buggers just chilling out on the kitchen or bathroom floors. i'd literally wait until the place was disposed of them before i ate a meal, just looking at them was disgusting to me.Benjanime Scared Stupid IIIOct 08, 2014View
