Article | Vaporman87 | Don't feel bad. I felt the same way. When my teacher in grade school would execute a perfect letter on the chalkboard (after first using one of those chalkholders that would draw three lines together on the board, equally separated), I would just get fed up that I couldn't replicate her perfection on a piece of paper. Like you, I never used cursive for anything but signing my name, and even then it's been reduced to illegible doctor's signature style. Even so, I think it's a shame that we are slowly doing away with teaching cursive. Something about it seems culturally significant to me, though I'm not sure why. | Nov 16, 2015 | ![]() |

Article | NLogan | Dogs that left an impression on me in the 80s were the sled dogs in the movie the Thing, reruns of Underdog, Scooby Doo, Barf from Spaceballs, McGruff the Crime Dog, Brain from Inspector Gadget, and of course the giant flying dog ... er luck dragon Falkor! | 10 Pop Culture Dogs of the 80s | Sep 05, 2018 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | Doesn't it seem sad to think that a franchise like McDonald's offering books in their Happy Meals is "newsworthy"? I'm mean, what do we expect anymore? What WILL we expect in the future? Will Happy Meals have to come with iPhone cases or some other "tech" crap? Now, for Taco Bell to offer ANY toy or prize seems peculiar, simply because you see so little of that from them these days. The last thing I remember getting there was a Godzilla (American '98 version) cup holder for your car (remember the "Here lizard, lizard, lizard." ads with the dog?). | Literary Classics at Taco Bell | Dec 05, 2013 | ![]()

Article | Vaporman87 | Does it make any sense to you that there is a local community having a costume party/dance on Nov. 2nd? How can you feel like you're in the Halloween spirit AFTER Halloween? | 5785 | Article | LizCampy | Does anyone remember what the knock off version of the Wuzzles were called? Maybe it was a Wuzzle. It was a stuffed toy, the body of a Chicken, but had the head of a Dog. It was white with some orange on it. It was 2 animals in one... I have been going crazy for more than 25 years trying to find this stuffed toy. I'd be so grateful if anyone could let me know the name and where to find one. | 2969 | Article | jkatz | Do they even put physical prizes in cereal anymore? It's like they've all been replaced with movie tickets and access codes to game sites and such. Probably considered a choking hazard or something. Those pails are a classic, almost iconic. McDonald's should bring them back. | Halloween Promotional Items of the 80s and 90s | Oct 16, 2015 | ![]()
Article | jkatz | Do they even make movie trading cards anymore? The whole appeal of these was to get photos and stills, something that's kinda pointless with a little thing called the internet. I think the last film I saw get the card treatment was the Halle Berry Catwoman flop, and that feels like a lifetime ago. Still, these can be fun to collect. I have a bunch of Batman Returns ones and an unopened M*A*S*H packet, complete with an ancient stick of gum! | Trading Card Treasures | Nov 06, 2017 | ![]()
