Article | Vaporman87 | Perhaps if there were a way to apply the makeup to a prosthetic that was a full face cover, THEN apply the prosthetic AFTER it has been all touched up and painted, that might work alright. | Sep 15, 2014 | ![]() |
Article | pikachulover | After the witch mask I learned my lesson. ;P If I did ever decide to go back to prosthetics I'd try to get somebody else to apply them on me. | A Little Witchy | Sep 15, 2014 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | My luck with make-up, prosthetics, and other accessories for Halloween was not good at all. Typically I ended up with something far different than what was pictured on the packaging. That was to be expected though, as the images on the packaging are done by teams of professionals. It's when a single person tries to replicate what a team of people achieved that the person realizes just how futile it is to even try. It didn't take me long to realize that I was best sticking with standard masks and clothing. | A Little Witchy | Sep 15, 2014 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | The story of the Ben Cooper company is an interesting one: http://www.slate.com/articles/life/culturebox/2013/10/ben_cooper_costumes_how_the_popular_plastic_outfits_reinvented_halloween.html | Halloween Hallelujah! | Sep 11, 2014 | ![]()
Article | Fulton4V | I had many of the old Ben Cooper costumes growing up and remember most the Hulk and Scooby doo ones I had. They were all just random pictures of the characters on the vinyl suit and then a mask with the face of the character but they were really cool to me. I liked those old costumes. | Halloween Hallelujah! | Sep 11, 2014 | ![]()
Video | Mr Magic | The previews were actually every bit as entertaining as the movie itself. | Opening to Toy Story | Sep 11, 2014 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | The thing about those old masks was that they were sooo uncomfortable, and you were dripping sweat inside them. It was like a sauna for your face shaped like Yoda. | Halloween Hallelujah! | Sep 11, 2014 | ![]()
Article | pikachulover | I didn't really care about Hanson. A bunch of the girls in my 8th grade class went crazy for them and wrote "Hanson" on their backpacks in whiteout. If you are interested you should find the Madtv Hanson parody skit. They have a song called "Ling Ling" in the skit. | Hanson MMMBopped Their Way Into Our Lustful Hearts | Sep 10, 2014 | ![]()
Article | pikachulover | Sadly the costume doesn't fit anymore. I still have it, but I grew a little too sideways. I think that was the last Halloween I wore face paint. I do not know how to apply even regular cosmetics well except for nail polish. I'm a pro at that. About having to copy the costume thing I don't why that idea stuck at my schools for so long. I mean I can go into any store that sells costumes, and I can hear tweens and older teens saying about how it has to look like it does on the package. Plus women's costumes are usually a rip off anyway. | Saloon Girl | Sep 10, 2014 | ![]()
Article | Hoju Koolander | Guess I should have gotten on board sooner and maybe I could have earned back a bit of my childhood by writing about it. Ah well, I probably couldn't get my son to keep that mask on his face anyway. | Halloween Hallelujah! | Sep 10, 2014 | ![]()
