3250ArticleHoju KoolanderConstrux were my go-to over Legos for the reason you mentioned, the ability to build your own playsets for action figures. Legos were too small and took forever to form into anything substantial, but with a few clicks of your Construx pieces around those little blue connector pieces you were set. You didn't need to whine to your parents for $50 to buy the Batcave, you could just make your own. I also use to build myself futuristic exo-skeleton armor weapons for for my forearms. Jan 06, 2016View

3272ArticleHoju KoolanderThat's awesome that your Dad recorded your songs with you. My son is guitar obsessed and always wants me to play my original songs for him. I can only imagine he'll be penning his own tunes soon. My Favorite Christmas Gifts As A Kid in the 80s & 90sJan 12, 2016View
3273ArticleHoju KoolanderMy first CD was Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness, which I still own. It was a mysterious media format to me in the mid 90's, being so devoted to listening and recording on audio cassettes. My first CD'sJan 13, 2016View
3288ArticleHoju KoolanderWhat a varied list, this was awesome. Those Playskool People are such time capsule figures, seeing as they were created to represent the "contemporary" look of everyday people from that era. I too have long been amazed by R-Rated toy lines like Terminator 2, Demolition Man, Predator and Rambo. The basic attitude of the day seemed to be, "If it looks cool, mold it in plastic for the kids". That was a great story about your Miss Elizabeth figure. My Dad was also involved in a lot of my collecting during childhood, though it was most definitely not his thing. Miss M's Top 10 Retro Toys of 2015!Jan 20, 2016View
3302ArticleHoju KoolanderI totally remember watching the Robocop appearance live and later on, Chucky. All I can say is that Ernest "The Cat" Miller, The Misfits, The Demon, Chris Jericho, Raven and The Flock all kept me watching during the Monday Night Wars until Arquette won the belt, but I never went back to WWE. 3303ArticleHoju KoolanderIt's great to hear you had such supportive parents, my Mom had to talk me through some tearful moments as well, when I couldn't understand why I was such a target for bullies. Obviously I know where you're coming from, but it never got this intense. Physical injuries? Moving out of state? I'm glad to hear that high school was fun and you were able to make it through. Seriously, you had some good folks.Being BulliedFeb 02, 2016View
