Article | Vaporman87 | Such an awesome and epic read. I was reminded so much of the dogs of my youth. My first dog was named King, and though I don't recall what type he was, I do know he was about the size of a wiener dog and was black and brown. The next dog I owned was the most special to me. Suzie was a Norwegian Elk Hound. She had that characteristic curled up tail and long fur... grey and black in color. We had her from the time she was a puppy, until I was forced to move from the house I grew up in because of my mom and dad's divorce and her deciding to move to another town. She ended up at my cousin's house where I would occasionally visit her. I have video of one of those visits to remember her with. She was very special to me. I even wrote a song about her when I was young. LOL. I miss that dog. | The Dog Days of Childhood | Mar 30, 2015 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | Such great memories from some amazing places. Here's to hoping you guys finally get to make the trip to "the most magical place on Earth". And if you do, keep an eye out for a special dollar bill hidden safely away on Tom Sawyer Island. LOL | Theme Parks: Adventures in New England | Jun 18, 2018 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | Sun Man is hilariously awesome! I didn't start branching out into sillier shapes and more cartoon-like characters until much later. I was so focused on the He-Man/Superhero style of character for so long, I didn't much consider anything else. But when I did, that is when I realized that I should have done it much sooner. It fit my style better. | The Saga of Sun Man | Aug 22, 2017 | ![]()
Article | Hoju Koolander | Suncoast Video was the best source for weird/rare videos in the 90's, loved that store! Never got into anime outside of The Guyver, but Ranma 1/2 always got a lot of press, so I was aware of it. | Anime memories | Jul 11, 2015 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | Super Mario 3, Ivan Stewart, and Pro Wrestling were staples of my childhood gameplay. Super Mario 3 was an awesome sequel and really had a lot going for it both in hype and in the final product. Ivan Stewart was a game that my brother and I would play religiously. It was a really fun multiplayer game and we enjoyed building up our trucks and giving it to the A.I. competition. And, of course, Pro Wrestling was just a blast. Loved the characters (my favorite being Amazon), the moves, and the mechanics. A friend of mine who was a big wrestling fan (more than me) and I would get together and play the game for long periods of time. Not just a great wrestling game, but a great NES game period. | Yesterdays: MY Favorite Nintendo Games Part 3 | Jul 29, 2015 | ![]()
Article | Hoju Koolander | Super Off Road is my 2 year old's favorite NES game, "I want to play car game". I was a big fan of Rollergames on TV as well, choreographed violence seemed so much more dangerous on wheels. I always wanted to rent the game, but never got around to it. While Mario Bros. 2 is my personal favorite, I remember the hype around 3, especially the Happy Meal toys. | Yesterdays: MY Favorite Nintendo Games Part 3 | Aug 01, 2015 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | Superb read. Simply epic. There is so much nostalgic goodness just dripping from this, it makes ME want to go back to YOUR childhood and relive them one more time. LOL It's funny that one side of your family had 14 children, considering my mom came from a family of 13. They sure did pump out the kids back in their day, huh? I like that you include all the ways that you are incorporating some old traditions from your childhood into your own children's lives. That is something I can completely relate to, as I do the same thing. Sure, you get enjoyment out of continuing tradition, but you're mostly seeking to give your children the same joy that you KNOW they will experience in the same way you experienced it. There is no doubt that Christmas holds a special place in your heart. Thanks for sharing this amazing walk through your Christmas memories. | How I Remember Christmas | Dec 12, 2015 | ![]()
