Article | Benjanime | @Hoju: sort of, but they changed a few of the stories around... i never did get to reading the book version, but my library used to have it. the tv special is extremely rare from my knowledge, and i've never seen it air on television before. @Vaporman87: good luck, your best bet is to either get it via torrent or dvd, because it's not available on any streaming sites. Glad you got a good read out of it :) @ThatDudeintheHoodie: interesting, i've been thinking about picking that up, but as far as the cartridge size for 3ds games go, i'd hope that i won't lose it around the house. @NLogan: i used to live in an old mobile home trailer from 1991 to 1997, and very rarely would i see one of those nasty buggers just chilling out on the kitchen or bathroom floors. i'd literally wait until the place was disposed of them before i ate a meal, just looking at them was disgusting to me. | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]() |
Article | Hoju Koolander | Ben do you know if that Garfield special was based on the anthology graphic novel Garfield, His 9 Lives? I used to love reading that book, especially the one about the Vikings. | Benjanime Scared Stupid III | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | That is certainly a weird concept for a Garfield story. I may have to look that up just to see what that's all about. And I was always a little creeped out by Neff's "Welcome to your doom" statement. I remember thinking it was hilarious to go into the sound effects menu of the game and repeatedly activate that sound, then mix it with "Rise from your grave". I know this, because I have it tape recorded. LOL. Creepshow had some pretty goosebump inducing parts, as did the second one. Overall, I think they were both pretty well done, but they are what they are... kind of tongue-in-cheek horror. Nice article Ben, and a fine way to wrap up this series. Good to see you back at it again. | Benjanime Scared Stupid III | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]()

Article | ThatDudeintheHoodie | Fun fact about that runaway brain short. In Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance you get to fight the creature. Also I love creepshow. My favorite story from it is Father's Day. Though "They're creeping up on you" is good too. | Benjanime Scared Stupid III | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]()
Article | Benjanime | indeed they do! and a very nice touch as well | Flannel Cornucopia | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]()
Article | NLogan | Oh man that creepshow bit the bugs gave me the willies too. I hate cockroaches. I have no problem with a praying mantis that cockroaches are closely related to. I lit a roach on fire once when I was in Brazil. Then he took off flying and almost lit the drapes on fire. I found him a week later after having been swatted out of the air, stepped on and squashed, burnt off wings and antennae but still crawling around happy as you please. Yechh roaches. | Benjanime Scared Stupid III | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]()
Article | vkimo | @Ben Do those 8 bit sprites look familiar? I actually got the idea from your bonus review of Monster Party last year. | Flannel Cornucopia | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]()
| 1395 | Article | NLogan | @Vaporman
@Vkimo somebody has to stick up for monsters. I mean you throw one little girl in a lake and it turns out she can't swim and all the sudden everybody is like pitchforks and torches, and now being compared to football jocks. | Flannel Cornucopia | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]() |
Article | Benjanime | i remember the virtual boy and n64 being on display like it was yesterday. though at the time of going in to see both, my parents were already getting a few hints from the other customers about the virtual boy's eye strain/headache warnings, so my mom just let me check out the nintendo 64 instead when they had super mario 64 playing in a kiosk | Timewarp: Blockbuster Video 1996 | Oct 08, 2014 | ![]()
