Article | NLogan | Scary stories to tell in the dark are the best. My favorite was the wendigo. You need to track down the full length story by algernon blackwood. Teddy Roosevelt also wrote one about the wendigo. Scary stories were an excellent beginning for kids to look at ghost stories from literature that was nearly a century old. I went to the Hollywood wax museum around 1993. I remember there being exhibits for Elvira, Norman Bates from psycho, the crew of the original star trek enterprise, Clint Eastwood, Tom selleck from magnum P.I., red Skelton, laurel and hardy, snd Marilyn Monroe. | Oct 13, 2014 | ![]() |

Article | Hoju Koolander | Scooby-Doo ruled my pre-school years, but Hong Kong Phooey was always an odball treat along with Dyno-Mutt. Apparently I was tight with Hanna-Barbera's canine crew. | My Five All Time Favorite Hanna Barbera Toons | Aug 09, 2017 | ![]()
Article | Simply Eighties | Screech was the only decent character in Save By The Bell. The others were too good looking for their own good and seemed too self-obsessed. I agree about TMNT, there was way too much merchandise being sold! Captain Planet was patronizing, and as much as I agree that the environment needs to be respected, we didn't need this nonsense! | Overrated shows from my childhood | Feb 13, 2013 | ![]()

Article | Vaporman87 | Sectaurs had a cool enough novelty going for it, with the hand puppet insects and the cool character designs. But in the end they just felt like a toy line full of Buzz-Off's relatives. Which really isn't that enticing... no offense to Buzz-Off. It is nice to see so much effort go into creating worlds and interesting characters for the line. That is something that was still a novel idea at the time. Most companies would have settled for half baked and overused plots and stories. Nice to see that such a thing didn't happen here. | Action Figure Comics Review - Sectaurs | Apr 11, 2016 | ![]()
Article | Benjanime | Seeing all the comments here it saddens me that most of these users weren't even on this site for very long. I thought we'd see them fully make their home here. I suppose personal life things take more interest than coming back to a nostalgia site after so many years. | Remembering RetroJunk | Sep 10, 2023 | ![]()
