5641ArticleNLogan@catsooey glad it hit home for you. I thought about taking up the hobby again as my neighbor was going regularly to the skatepark. But in the end I have enough expensive hobbies and I was never very good anyways. I do still occasionally Ollie on a board to impress young kids that an old man can still do it. However considering Tony Hawk is 9 years older than me and still shreds, my moment to wow isn't much. Hopefully you stay safe and have fun if you are brave enough to get back into it. 5772ArticleNLoganYesss! I love Halloween articles. My favorite is the doctor with the metal head mirror (honest, that's what they are called) that swings down over your eye.5 Childhood Pictures of Myself in Halloween CostumesOct 07, 2023View

1161ArticleMikeCoversVAPORMAN87: Seriously, some of those had streams powerful enough to do that! I was almost BEGGING my dad to let me wash his car. And it's a shame that they are today focusing far more on appearances than functionality. I personally see nothing wrong with the "classic" style; even by 2014 standards it still looks pretty awesome. VKIMO: Thank you! I bet the dogs enjoy it too! 1188ArticleHoju KoolanderThis was a nice introduction to the site. I was always a He-Man devotee, I even had the light up sword and bop-bag, but in retrospect I can't deny that She-Ra is just a cooler character. Even her origin is better: stolen at birth and raised to serve evil, then redeemed by joining the rebels when her long lost brother shows up. I just watched the first few episodes of her series that made up the Secret of the Sword movie and thought it was waaaay better than 95% of the He-Man shows I grew up on. Plus, Hordak...just the best.New Eyes on He-Man and She-RaSep 02, 2014View
1190ArticleHoju Koolander'95 was a huge year for my musical tastes as well, I can sing at least one line from each of the songs you listed and consider most of them to be essential for an Ultimate 90's playlist. The Power Rangers movie was a major even for me, but yeah, the movie continuity not mixing with the TV series kind of blew it for me. But I did like that song, "Trouble" from the soundtrack and Ivan Ooze was pretty hilarious. The Summer of 1995Sep 02, 2014View
1191ArticleHoju Koolander"Heck, until recently I thought MOTU was a specialty line of toys for juvenile amputees", LOL, classic. Oh the moment of toy buying embarrassment, I know it all too well. Just replace Batman figure with Shannon Doherty from 90210 Barbie doll (totally a for real incident) and you've got my moment of shame. Oh no, I shouldn't have shared that, is your Dad going to have me deported? ;)Masters of the Toybox Sep 02, 2014View
1192ArticleHoju KoolanderAwesome article. I totally remember Golden Girls. I was a fan of the G.L.O.W. TV show, so they always caught my eye as having a similar glittery 80's glamour and power. What I remember is that She-Ra could always be found at Toys R Us, but I only ever saw Golden Girls in the toy aisle of the local drug store. They never quite made it to the big stage in my area, I never even knew they had commericials, but then again, I wasn't watching much My Little Pony back then.Attack of the Warrior Women!Sep 02, 2014View
1195ArticleHoju KoolanderVery cool topic. I totally remember one of my girl-friends (friend who was a girl) having a few of the aerobics themed C.U.T.I.E.S. figures. I never knew about the other varieties, but I got a good laugh out of the name "Leah Tard", totally not P.C. nowadays! Revisiting C.U.T.I.E.Sep 03, 2014View
1196ArticleHoju KoolanderVery sweet story and vivid descriptions of your moments of childhood disappointment and elation. I wasn't the most competitive kid and didn't make much money in our school's Jog-A-Thon, but if a toy had been on the line I would have summoned "my speed of the puma".The Best Day EverSep 03, 2014View
