3929ArticleOldSchool80sLove, love, love The Breakfast Club. I enjoyed reading your perspective and agree with the majority. Thanks for sharing! Jun 08, 2017View
3939ArticleHoju KoolanderFun movie with some great monologues that do make high schoolers stop and think about those roles that are forced on them by others. A bunch of my friends actually performed a scene from The Breakfast Club for a high school talent show, which has always given the film a special place in my heart. The Breakfast Club and Changing PerceptionsJun 09, 2017View
3941ArticleVaporman87As many times as I've watched this movie, I've never actually viewed Allison's "makeover" in the way you describe. I've never had that "debate". To me, she is just opening herself up to Claire... allowing Claire to share this ritual with her. A bonding moment. It's just that there was the added benefit of Andrew seeing how beautiful she actually is when she is not hiding under a coat and mop of hair. I don't think she changed at all. 3928ArticleOldSchool80sLove that the MC Hammer doll includes a "Real Cassette" inside! Fun finds. I rarely purchase anything when I go, but it definitely is entertaining from a nostalgia perspective.Antique Store Finds: RebornJun 08, 2017View
3930ArticleVaporman87Man. Still can't believe we actually lived in a time when M.C. Hammer was not only famous, but actually spawned figures and a cartoon. If not any other time, surely that time would have been the right one for complete reality implosion. Antique Store Finds: RebornJun 08, 2017View
3934ArticlejkatzI remember my family had a Joe Camel bath towel when I was really young. No idea where it came from or what happened to it, but given that I was regularly in contact with it for a period of time and never got addicted to smoking, I think all that hysteria was largely unfounded. *reaches for e-cigarette*Antique Store Finds: RebornJun 08, 2017View
3936ArticleHoju Koolander@OldSchool80s I actually owned a New Kids On The Block doll that had a similar cassette gimmick, though it just featured an interview with the group from what I recall. @Vaporman87 When I worked at Disneyland as a costumed character I actually met M.C. Hammer while dressed as Kronk. He was still rocking a Walkman and it was 2001! @jkatz Yeah, Joe Camel was the least of our concerns. All of our Hollywood heroes from Ghostbusters to Arnold were lighting one up back in the day.Antique Store Finds: RebornJun 09, 2017View
3961ArticlemickyarberOf course I had the GI Joe lunch box, and I remember the mad scientist line of toys. My cousin Stevie had them, and like so many of his toys, the rest of us weren't allowed to touch them. I still need to get around to writing that "Stevie the Tyrant" article. Great read as always my friend. Antique Store Finds: RebornJun 22, 2017View
3931ArticleVaporman87Ha! Laughable, these. You have to love Adam X. Seriously. Nothing screams "EXTREME!!!" more so than that guy. He makes every other "EXTREME!!!" style character look like Dick Tracy. My Five Favorite Super Losers of the 90'sJun 08, 2017View
