ArticleSupermanNice article. Fortunately, I never had any of these toys. They sound like a real waste of money. Sep 23, 2017View
ArticleSupermanThis reminds me of some of the contests Fox Kids used to run. I entered a few of them but never won. It was always my dream that one day I would be a winner, though. If you ever see an active listing for one of those Spy Kits, I think you should totally buy it for her! Better late than never, and it would make for a very sentimental gift.My Sister and the Harriet the Spy Nickelodeon Contest Sep 23, 2017View
ArticleHoju KoolanderI thought McDonald's Pizza was totally extinct, but now you're telling me there are 2 locations that still serve it? Pair that with a McSalad Shaker and I'm ready to roll!Retro Fast Food That is No MoreSep 24, 2017View
ArticleHoju KoolanderAs you know, we were watching the same stations growing up and I only caught The Weird Al Show 2-3 times in it's original run, even though I was a big fan with all of his albums (except Polka Party). Luckily I rented the DVD set from Netflix a few years ago and got to watch the whole series. It was super quirky and fun, like the Nickelodeon version of his movie UHF.The Weird Al Show a Way Moby Forgotten ShowSep 24, 2017View
ArticleHoju KoolanderYour re-enactment of playing Mouse Trap is 100% accurate. I bought it based on the commercial and it fell flat. They have revised it since then and the version I bought for my son actually works in it's simplified form. Very fun.Five 90’s Toys That Never Lived Up to the HypeSep 24, 2017View
ArticleHoju KoolanderVery sweet story of Brotherly Love (sans the Lawrence Brothers). The idea of not understanding the odds against you in these contests is so right on. Ahh, the optimism of childhood. My Sister and the Harriet the Spy Nickelodeon Contest Sep 24, 2017View
ArticleHoju KoolanderYou're right, despite the constant fighting, comic book heroes do often represent the best ideals of humanity, even in the face of "evil". Spider-Man especially with The Lizard, Green Goblin or even Venom always tried to talk sense into his foes, understanding they were mentally unwell. My Super ChildhoodSep 24, 2017View
ArticleVaporman87Since this article was first written, both locations serving the pizza were forced to stop doing so. This is unfortunate because my location was one of the two, and it brought in people from all over the country.Retro Fast Food That is No MoreSep 24, 2017View
ArticleVaporman87The Virtual Boy was probably the biggest bust of the bunch. Though the Power Glove was a close second. R.O.B. Takes third for the big N.Five 90’s Toys That Never Lived Up to the HypeSep 24, 2017View
ArticlepikachuloverI only had the Tiger handheld game. I had The Little Mermaid one. I liked it. I like to use it as an arcade game Barbie would play. I wanted Mouse Trap, but my mom told me it was boring and looked nothing like the commercial. She said as a kid in the 60s somebody she knew owned a copy. I think she said after a while they just like building and playing with the trap part. Five 90’s Toys That Never Lived Up to the HypeSep 24, 2017View
