ArticleNLoganI remember that flocked bear with bow tie. I wonder if my mom had it or something. I remember he was very hard. Do you still have the art project picture of Mooky? Aug 26, 2017View
ArticleNLoganBrownie Jr. looks like a Snow Leopard. I found out I had an allergy to my pet dog when I was 4 or 5. Asthma the works. This dog guarded me and my twin's cradle letting none pass. I remember holding onto her fur and squeezing her to me. I remember feeding her bones in her new temporary home under the porch. Eventually she was moved to grandma's house because we still got sick. I snuck out to visit as much as possible. I never had any dander producing fur bearing animal pets since, although we did catch or have all manner of snakes and lizards, pet fire newts, and a fish tank. The Adventures of Junior, the World's Greatest Cat DetectiveAug 26, 2017View
ArticleNLoganYour ambition for Pooter knew no bounds writing letters like crazy. I never wrote to a company, I only sent in my proofs of purchase for cereal box mail-a-way offers.Oh Pooter!Aug 26, 2017View
ArticleNLoganAside from the action figure line I don't remember seeing any of the Shadow merchandising. However as you know I also listened to the cassette tapes of the old radio broadcasts. 4083ArticleNLogan5 bucks isn't chump change to a kid for a quick sketch for the bus crowd. Looks like you had a good little racket going using your skills.Russell - The Black-Eyed SimpsonAug 26, 2017View
Articlepikachulover@NLogan Those flocked bears were pretty popular. My mom had a birthday pin with a flocked bear holding some pom pom balloons and wearing a tiny party hat. I think I do all of my high school art class pictures are in my storage space. I threw out some pictures when I moved in 2008. But I kept some like my Conan O'Brien caricature. @Vapor I think I used to play that he would go meet Pokemon characters at the mall. I had this mall kiosk thing that I got from a dollar store that said it fit Barbie size dolls, but it was too short and could fit 5-8 inch figures better. He would go with his family to meet Misty and some other Pokemon. He went on lots of adventures he would hang out on the island on top of Ariel's grotto playset. Baby Mookey Aug 27, 2017View
ArticlevkimoMan, you're a spitting image of your dad in that first pic. You and Ravenloft standing out front of all these attractions definitely gave off that Shining vibe haha, as for your story well...I've scheduled you an appointment with a therapist next TuesdayHaunted Hotel an 11 year old's narrativeAug 27, 2017View
ArticlevkimoNice piece, I can tell a lot of work went into formatting it. You definitely took Pooter the whole 9 yards!Oh Pooter!Aug 27, 2017View

ArticleRadical@Vaporman87: Yeah, I left it open-ended in case I ever wanted to repoot him. My skills have almost met my ambitions after all these years. I do feel Pooter's decade was the 90s, like Eddie Murphy's was the 80s. @NLogan: My brother and I would write letters to every business, enter every contest, and send in proof of purchases for every cool toy. Not sure how my parent felt about it, but they provided the stamps and envelopes. Snail mail was awesome in a way that social media isn't: tangible and professional. I always wanted Sonic or Mario to read my letters, which I'm sure they did. @vkimo: Hey thanks! The formatting worked its way out while I was writing it, but I had to start off with an obvious poot joke to clear the air. Would you believe the most time and effort went into identifying and finding fonts they used in 90s kids magazines? I eventually used a Scrapbook making software that had 1000 fonts in it.Oh Pooter!Aug 29, 2017View
