Article | massreality | What a great post. I love it! Man that picture of everyone huddled around the NES brought back memories of pretty much every birthday party I attended in the late 80's. | Feb 10, 2017 | ![]() |
Article | Vaporman87 | I thought Alex Kidd was decent, but these other titles I don't remember, and never played. There was a 3D Earthworm Jim? That's news to me. So weird to see Jim in 3D. I wish they'd bring him back for some fun using today's tech. | The Worst Games I've Rented on my Allowance | Jan 29, 2017 | ![]()
Article | Benjanime | there was actually a cancelled earthworm jim game for the psp, it looked like it was a reboot of the original with some interesting features, but it was in development hell from what i'd heard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VsSBEXTinM | The Worst Games I've Rented on my Allowance | Jan 29, 2017 | ![]()
Article | Hoju Koolander | Just more evidence that licensed games usually disappoint. Am I remembering correctly that Alex Kidd was the original mascot for SEGA Genesis, before Sonic became their main man? | The Worst Games I've Rented on my Allowance | Jan 30, 2017 | ![]()
Article | Benjanime | that is indeed correct, as stated in a video by 'did you know gaming'. i know not many people disliked alex kidd for its difficulty, but a modern game would be nice to see. | The Worst Games I've Rented on my Allowance | Jan 31, 2017 | ![]()
Article | Rick Ace Rhodes | I would honestly say though you are a lot smarter for renting games, trying them out and determining you don't like them. Unlike me, who would buy the games as a kid and realize what a pile of crap I just bought. | The Worst Games I've Rented on my Allowance | Jan 31, 2017 | ![]()
Article | Benjanime | by the late 90s i actually rented games more than buying them, which probably wasn't the best choice since i was still missing out on a bunch of great games, but that's how my mind worked back then lol. | The Worst Games I've Rented on my Allowance | Jan 31, 2017 | ![]()
Article | massreality | I also rented games more than I bought them growing up. I can't even recall all the horrible titles I rented over the years because the cover art was great or it was a licensed property that I loved. | The Worst Games I've Rented on my Allowance | Feb 10, 2017 | ![]()
Article | Benjanime | hey i remember reading this from retrojunk! such a classic :) | Playing Hooky | May 19, 2020 | ![]()
Article | Vaporman87 | Epic tale of childhood brazenness as only vkimo could tell it. Who knew that a boy scout like vkimo, with his flag shorts and leather fascination, could be so mischievous? I was never inclined or brave enough to skip school for any period of time, though I did spend a few afternoons here and there "skipping" recess. LOL. A group of friends and I called ourselves C.Y.G.A. (Citizens and Young Guardian Avengers)... don't ask. Our mission in the later years of elementary school? To NOT go outside and play when everyone else did for recess. Yeah. We would stay behind and wander the halls of the elementary school trying not to get caught by the teachers and staff. Daring isn't it? | Playing Hooky | May 19, 2020 | ![]()
