3020 | Article | echidna64 | I hated having to take the garbage out at night. We had an area at the end of our driveway that was completely dark and covered by trees. I was always scared that while I was fumbling with the garbage can I would get ambushed from behind. I used to run there and back as fast as I could! | Oct 27, 2015

894 | Article | Vaporman87 | I hate to be a downer, but I was not much of a fan of the second Gremlins film. It felt TOO campy for my tastes. Almost like one of those Disney "sequels" to their top line properties that go straight to home video release. Still, it had it's moments. I bet it was hard to bring yourself to crack open that package containing a mini "time capsule" of sorts. It's like your cracking open a bottle of the 80's that kind of hits you in the face for a second and then disappears. You ended up with some nice additions though. Thanks for sharing Miss M! | Trading After Midnight | Dec 09, 2013

5562 | Article | squidbee | I hate seeing my old haunts closing down, so I feel you Vaporman87. For example, I love Dead Mall videos, but it hits me right in the feels whenever someone posts about my local mall. A place where I hung out and worked for many years. It looks like the skating rink from my youth is still open. I am honestly shocked because back in the 80s it looked to be on its last legs. Skating lessons are only 5 bucks. Maybe I should look into it. lol | Skating Through The Years | Dec 07, 2021
3815 | Article | pikachulover | I happened to find your channel a few days ago by chance. I was looking for local LA stuff on youtube. I usually just put station call letters in to youtube's search function and see what comes up. KTTV used to air Kideo TV so early on Saturday mornings. | Best Retro 80's TV Commercials | Apr 01, 2017
4934 | Article | Benjanime | i hadn't planned to honestly, this article was just my own perspective of the tmnt media's rise and fall in popularity in the 90s, and i didn't know about the "coming out of their shells" or "turtle music" vhs tapes at the time of my childhood. if i think about it i'll give the bay movies a second look and write a different tmnt article someday, but for now i have several other articles in my backlog. i just thought i'd cover some tmnt history since it seems a bit scarce here. | The Rise and Fall of TMNT | May 18, 2019
3589 | Article | NLogan | I had Tomax and Xamot. Since I was a twin it was sort of a given that I should buy one. I guess I liked whichever one had the scar better. In 1980 age 3 I have a picture of me with my grandpa showing me how a toy conveyor worked. We got several trucks that year and I got a red metal working conveyor. I have the picture however grandpa is just wearing a robe and long john underwear which unfortunately is showing in the picture. I am glad that you were able to learn something about your dad. My dad was my hero too. Knowing what kind of men they were helps us to become better men. Thank you for your story. Merry Christmas Mick to you and the family. | 1986: The Year That Santa Became Real | Dec 16, 2016
4709 | Article | Benjanime | i had to wait a year later to get it, my stepdad wasn't too happy with my response to the gift so i had to straighten up my behavior for a while and start doing new chores around the house to earn it. the only downside was that it was the "greatest hits" version, which removed the neat holographic game cover which i liked but looking back doesn't bother me anymore. | The Christmas of '97 | Dec 13, 2018
3448 | Article | OldSchool80s | I had those wrist racers (among many other things)! I loved The Dukes of Hazzard. I had no idea what the confederate flag stood for or any of that and the show really had absolutely nothing to do with that. I had the pleasure of an interview with the show's creator, Gy Waldron, a couple years back. | Random Dukes of Hazzard Merchandise | Mar 15, 2016 |
