2179 | Article | Vaporman87 | Oh yeah, also I loved the part of the story where you guys ran away from home! So typical for kids in those days. Running away... for like a couple of hours. Then realizing it's pretty much pointless and heading home to face the consequences. I thought maybe the whole thing was going to end up blowing over, and you would never have had to face it. Not so though. Lesson learned, anyway. | Mar 30, 2015
2178 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I agree with comic_book_fan, your room is worthy of an entire article. Robocop 2 poster, Batman and Magic Johnson plush dolls on the bed, a Troll doll with what looks like a rifle, Oreo bendy creature as wrll as a Robin sticker on the bookcase and is that a framed Ghostbusters logo? Did you get that as a prize at a fair or something? | Rec Center Memories - Chicken Fight | Mar 30, 2015
2177 | Article | Vaporman87 | Such an awesome and epic read. I was reminded so much of the dogs of my youth. My first dog was named King, and though I don't recall what type he was, I do know he was about the size of a wiener dog and was black and brown. The next dog I owned was the most special to me. Suzie was a Norwegian Elk Hound. She had that characteristic curled up tail and long fur... grey and black in color. We had her from the time she was a puppy, until I was forced to move from the house I grew up in because of my mom and dad's divorce and her deciding to move to another town. She ended up at my cousin's house where I would occasionally visit her. I have video of one of those visits to remember her with. She was very special to me. I even wrote a song about her when I was young. LOL. I miss that dog. | The Dog Days of Childhood | Mar 30, 2015
2175 | Article | echidna64 | Yeah the good thing about being in a large family is that there is always someone to play with! @vkimo I looked up Weather Slam! Man that really encourages me to make my own game, hand drawings and all ;) | The Dragon Master | Mar 30, 2015
2174 | Article | Hoju Koolander | A truly cinematic story. I imagined you being portrayed by a young Fred Savage, with Ariana Richarda taking on the Stacey role. Roberto would be played by Benny from The Sandlot with Jerry Mathers as "The Satanist". Good stuff. | Rec Center Memories - Moment of Glory | Mar 29, 2015
2173 | Article | massreality | That is so cool. Like vkimo, I wish I had some friends to play something like that with. I'm so jealous | The Dragon Master | Mar 29, 2015

2171 | Article | comic_book_fan | i have never broke anything either i twisted my ankles all the time busted my head open a few times lost a few teeth hyper extended my knee and my arm was knocked out but most of my bad injuries were cuts i was playing with scissors when i was 2 my sister saw it and freaked and tried to grab them away from me and when she did the cut across my fingers my mom said they were only hanging on by a thin piece of skin i think she is exaggerating but the doc stitched me up but the index finger on my right hand is slightly crooked. | Rec Center Memories - Chicken Fight | Mar 29, 2015
2170 | Article | vkimo | Man, I wish I had some friends to play a game like that with. What I find most amazing is the game had all the pieces! I recently came across a card game from 1981 called "Weather Slam" that I had to have. It was sealed and only cost a few dollars. I brought it back home and cracked it open to play with my wife. The cards looked like some kid was given a crayon and paid in marbles to illustrate the cards. Nice find though, that VHS video is awesome too. | The Dragon Master | Mar 28, 2015
2169 | Article | Vaporman87 | Sheesh! No kidding it was rough! I think the worst injury I suffered involved my ankle and the side of my right foot. We were playing Nerf basketball inside our apartment in college, and I jumped and landed on one of my roommates foot and hurt mine. It swelled up and started to turn blue. To this day, my right foot is now wider than my left. Then, one day I was merely stepping off the basketball court at my parent's house and put my foot down on uneven ground, twisting my ankle. I had to walk on crutches for almost two weeks. | Rec Center Memories - Chicken Fight | Mar 28, 2015 |
