4085ArticlevkimoMan, you're a spitting image of your dad in that first pic. You and Ravenloft standing out front of all these attractions definitely gave off that Shining vibe haha, as for your story well...I've scheduled you an appointment with a therapist next Tuesday Aug 27, 2017View
5764ArticleBenjanimeMan, you're lucky to have folks that took photos of your Halloween costumes, I got the feeling that my parents always just wanted to get the Trick or Treating over with so they could get back to watching TV5 Childhood Pictures of Myself in Halloween CostumesOct 06, 2023View
1320ArticleVaporman87Man. Just look at that section of Masters of the Universe stuff. If only I could ACTUALLY go back in time and just buy every bit of it. So much coolness. So much money. :) This was a fun adventure Hoj... I mean, Dr. Timewarp. Thank you for taking us on it. Now if I can just figure out where that Man-E-Faces costume is these days, and have the person who owns it sell it to me.Timewarp: Toys R Us 1987Sep 24, 2014View
3930ArticleVaporman87Man. Still can't believe we actually lived in a time when M.C. Hammer was not only famous, but actually spawned figures and a cartoon. If not any other time, surely that time would have been the right one for complete reality implosion. Antique Store Finds: RebornJun 08, 2017View
1130ArticleVaporman87Man. This is what I love about this site and others like it. That chance to peak into the pasts of others and experience the spirit and passion of those good times. This Suddenly Summer contest has truly brought out some of the most well written, passionate, and stirring reads yet. Benson feels like a place I could call home. With a small population (Rutland has around 400), a General Store (just as you described, the still functioning store that just scrapes by meeting the needs of the locals (and has since the 1870's), and the beauty of the water (I live just minutes from the Ohio River). Benson could be Rutland, and vice versa. Thank you so much for sharing this. Summer at the LakeJun 16, 2014View
2301ArticleVaporman87Man... here we are in the slow doldrums of Summer, yet echidna manages to come along and bring us a truly great article. I loved reading this. I had done a little research on Winsor McCay prior to reading this article, so I knew a little about what I might read. It was great to get it from your perspective though, as it gives me a much better appreciation for Little Nemo. I can relate with everything you mention regarding dreams, how they have changed, and how they can make us feel. McCay used his talent to really tap into those experiences in a potent way. We all dream, so nobody is excluded from the subject matter. Thanks echidna! This made my day. Little NemoJun 08, 2015View
3435ArticleVaporman87Man... I have so many stories that they would surely make this site's code explode with so much text. LOL I've done everything from accidentally fart while exercising in gym class to wearing the most horrendous sweater ever created by man to school. It's not always been easy being me. 4973ArticleVaporman87Man... that anniversary flew right under the radar didn't it. At least it gave you the opportunity to dig into the finer points of a piece of it's library. Well done. The Bizarre World of Super Mario LandJul 19, 2019View
825ArticleVaporman87Man... this is another of those articles that reminds me of how little I can remember of my own Halloween adventures. I wish my recollections of those many trick-or-treating outings were clearer to me. But, from this read, it seems that my own trick-or-treating nights were not much different than yours. So this felt like reading a bit about my own Halloweens. That's awesome. Thanks for this vkimo!Halloween Memories Oct 11, 2013View
