2246 | vhsCover | jkatz | I've actually seen this one...oy vey, what a stinker! | May 07, 2015
2245 | Article | jkatz | I'm late to the party on this, but I read a story about Michael Ulsan (who's been involved with pretty much everything Batman related, ever) was meeting with some Kenner people, who through their contract were only allowed to make toys based of the movie and comics and apparently were out of ideas. Uslan shows them a bunch of old issues from the 50s, aka the ones with all the really crazy, outlandish stuff, and Kenner used them as inspiration for expanding their toyline. Always wondered if that's how my beloved "Capture Claw Batman" came to be.. | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 07, 2015

2240 | Article | Hoju Koolander | @massreality yeah, I remember there being a Darkman connection there somewhere. | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 06, 2015
2239 | Article | massreality | @Hojo: Didn't I read that Raimi only made Darkman because he couldn't get the rights to The Shadow back in the 90's? | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 01, 2015
2238 | Article | Mr Magic | @Hoju: He made a deal with Burger King in 2002. The burger was called the Shaq Pack. http://www.truschoolsports.com/2013/11/throwback-thursday-shaq-pack-from-burger-king/ | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 01, 2015
2237 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I saw Mannequin for the first time a few years ago, I was just amazed at all the familiar faces. It was a real surprise to see "Captain Harris" outside of a Police Academy movie. This film actually has a lot of parallels to one of my guilty pleasures, Xanadu. Frustrated artist gets a magical dream girl to help him achieve success with multiple costume changes during musical montages. Yep, all that's missing is the roller skates. The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer was in Mannequin 2? This I gotta see! | Mannequin - An Unappreciated Classic | May 01, 2015
2236 | Article | Vaporman87 | @Hoju: Raimi? That would be very cool. I'd love to see what he could do with the character. | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 01, 2015 |
