2385 | Article | mickyarber | Love this article. Like everyone else, I wanted a tree house to play in, but my problem was lack of trees. Now, my daughters are wanting one. Guess I should see about getting started and maybe live vicariously through them. That or make it sturdy enough for Pops to get up there and play with them. Hope to see more from you. | Jul 12, 2015
2384 | Article | Vaporman87 | Hopefully my kids feel the same way about my wife and I when they discover the truth. LOL | 1990 - The Year Santa Died | Jul 12, 2015
2383 | Article | mickyarber | I didn't get into MTV until the 90's, and I jumped in head first. One of the features I really liked was when they would do a block of videos....4 In a Row I think they called it. Four straight videos without any interruptions. I loved Aeon Flux, and was a big fan of Beavis and Butthead too. And one of the highlights of my year was when they would do the spring break week. Great tv right there. A really nostalgic article. Great job. | MTV: The 90's | Jul 12, 2015
2382 | Article | mickyarber | I don't remember when I first realized Santa wasn't real, but I do remember the after effect. I can remember feeling closer to my parents once I knew it was them spending hard earned cash for the things under the tree, and I think that helped me develop a deeper sense of appreciation for all kinds of things. Fun article. | 1990 - The Year Santa Died | Jul 11, 2015
2381 | Article | mickyarber | @Hoju...you're right, I was quite the dreamer. Those are just the ones that I really wanted and aksed for on many occasions. There were so many more things I wanted as well. Maybe I'll have to revisit the topic and go through some more "wants" that I never got. | Yesterdays: Things I DIDN'T Have As A Kid | Jul 11, 2015
2380 | Article | Hoju Koolander | You had good taste for a dreamer of toys. I actually owned the Laser Tag, Hit Stix and an old chemistry set, but as incomplete hand me downs. | Yesterdays: Things I DIDN'T Have As A Kid | Jul 11, 2015
2379 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Suncoast Video was the best source for weird/rare videos in the 90's, loved that store! Never got into anime outside of The Guyver, but Ranma 1/2 always got a lot of press, so I was aware of it. | Anime memories | Jul 11, 2015
2378 | Article | Vaporman87 | @echidna: LOL. I used to believe that one day I would create a robot companion... out of cardboard. Also, I was pretty certain I could fly for just a split second whenever I jumped off the couch. | Yesterdays: Things I DIDN'T Have As A Kid | Jul 10, 2015
2377 | Article | echidna64 | Ah one of my friends had the exact same chemistry set. I always wanted one. I believed that at age 7 I could become a mad scientist and create potions like Erkel | Yesterdays: Things I DIDN'T Have As A Kid | Jul 10, 2015
2376 | Article | pikachulover | I never had Hit Stix either. I forgot about them for a while until I found an old tape from 1988 with a commercial for them on it. They bought up a lot of ad time. Now I can practically sing the jingle from memory. Then I remembered kids who had them took them to the local mall and played them on things in the mall like the railings and stuff. I wanted a rock tumbler and never got one. I also wanted a sewing machine and a small pottery wheel. | Yesterdays: Things I DIDN'T Have As A Kid | Jul 10, 2015 |
