| 849 | Article | Vaporman87 | It was just a fact of marketing toys back then that, if you didn't get a half hour cartoon to go along with your product, it had far less a chance to succeed. I don't remember anything about the Golden Girls. Though, I can see from the commercials the reason for that. She-Ra was a spin off of He-Man, which had a huge following with boys. So, as a boy, you were far more likely to know about She-Ra (and in many cases, buy some of the figures). Also, She-Ra had several supporting male characters, and even her arch nemesis was male. With Golden Girls, it appears the entire cast was female. I'm guessing this tied her success to being able to defeat other Mattel lines like Barbie. Not the competition you want for your toy line. Great read Miss M.! Thanks for this. | Attack of the Warrior Women! | Nov 07, 2013 | ![]() |

| 4276 | Article | CaseyJones | It was ok. But you shouldn't be starting each question with ("cool" "I see" "ok") and then jumping into your next prepared question. You should be asking follow up questions to some of these answers. Show that you have interest in what he is saying rather than just trying to get the interview done. Plus some of his answers were really interesting and I would have liked to read more. I mean he talked about Harvey Weinstein almost stealing Fanboys from him and all you said was "ok" and then started talking about The Goldbergs. | A Talk With Adam F. | 2756 | Article | kidcoffee | It was one of the oddest moments of my life. Looking back I am still sad I clammed up so much, but I couldn't fathom what else to do. I wasn't sure what this woman was capable of. Odder still was her vanishing six months later. I don't know if she died, or just disappeared into the night, but her house was torn to the ground with all of her worldly possessions still inside. Also she really did resemble Momma only perhaps a tad more frightening...or at least twelve year old me thought so. | Unmasked | Oct 02, 2015 | ![]() |

| 4200 | Article | Hoju Koolander | It was really interesting to learn about this extra feature of G.I. Joe collecting back in the day. I wonder how many points the USS Flagg was worth? The fun fact about that Sgt. Slaughter being an unused mold from LJN's WWF Superstars line was pretty neat. | GI Joe Flag Points | Nov 12, 2017 | ![]() |
| 5261 | Article | Vaporman87 | It was the beginning of the "gross out" market! Slime, hideous toys, etc. were everywhere by the mid-80s. But yeah... I think of slime, I think of the Slime Pit for sure. | For the Love of Slime | Sep 04, 2020 | ![]() |
