2421ArticleHoju KoolanderI remeber catchin a few episodes of Sailor Moon on KCOP channel 13 before school, but besides the transformation sequences it didn't quite hook me. I do recall that my buddy had a couple of the original Japanese movies or episodes without dubbing on VHS. Those ones seemed so much more serious than the dumbed down American version. Does anybody else see the Sabrina, The Teenage Witch parallels with teenage girl dealing with her powers and a talking cat?Sailor Moon VideosJul 24, 2015View

1799ArticleVaporman87I received my helping of Disney Afternoon thanks to my younger brother who enjoyed just about every show in it. By the time it began airing, I was in high school and Disney cartoons (outside of the feature films) were not something I actively sought out to watch. However, my brother did. And what he watched, I inevitably found myself watching along with him. Of the many shows and characters, I think I actually enjoyed Duck Tales the most, followed by Chip 'N Dale's Rescue Rangers. Some of the shows that came later, like Gargoyles, would have probably been my preferred show had I not already been graduated and heading to college. I can also say that my favorite intro song from the Afternoon would be the Gummi Bears intro. 1823ArticleVaporman87I recall very little about my kindergarten days. I can picture the room, it's layout, and being outside to eat lunch. But much of anything else is muddled. I do know that I ran into a fellow who was a classmate of mine for many years, including kindergarten, at the fair this past year, and we spoke a couple times for quite a while. My memory of him in kindergarten was that he was the kid with the metal brace on his leg (or legs??? Can't recall now). He wore those braces for quite a while. He seems to walk perfectly normal, so they must have done their job.My First Day of KindergartenJan 23, 2015View
2319ArticleVaporman87I recall this article from RetroJunk. It was nice to have some extra incite into the M.A.S.K. spinoff that I never knew about as a kid. I was a fairly interested fan of M.A.S.K., and had I known this line was associated with it, I would have begged for the toys. I still need to pick up that M.A.S.K. DVD. 5720ArticleBenjanimeI recall hearing these same songs a little too much during my time in early grade school, not to say that I didn't like listening to them anymore, I guess they were just a bit too overplayed for my liking. I think one day I'll make my own Disney song listing.Disney 100: 5 of my Favorite Disney SongsAug 10, 2023View
