3967ArticleOldSchool80sI had a similar experience and similar memories of seeing E.T. for the first time. It left quite an impression on me, too. It will always hold a special place for me and still holds up for me in a lot of ways, too. It is one of the iconic films of the decade and of my lifetime in my opinion.Seeing E.T. 3968ArticleOldSchool80sLove seeing old comic book ads. They take me right back to that time in an instant. These 90s ads are a little later than I really connect with, but still was reading a few titles at that point and they still connect a little. I have to go get some 80s comics and post some of those ads! Thanks for sharing!Retro Comic Book AdsJun 22, 2017View
3969ArticleOldSchool80sLove this and look forward to more especially from the 80s. Sad that I don't even remember half of the shows you listed. Remember Three's a Crowd being disappointing especially since I absolutely love Three's Company. I do remember the hype around Paper Dolls, but don't remember watching it. This is some fun stuff. Can't wait for more.1984 TV Guide Fall Preview: ABCJun 22, 2017View

3982ArticleOldSchool80sI normally try to stay in the 80s lane, but I do know 90s pretty well, too. I don't think you can possibly put Good Burger or Wild Wild West on the Top Summer Movies of the entire 90s decade. The other 3 can definitely be considered. Here are a few that could round out the Top 5: Independence Day, Armageddon, Speed, True Lies, The Lion King, There's Something About Mary, Apollo 13, The Fugitive... just to name a few.Top Five 90s Summer MoviesJul 05, 2017View
4001ArticleOldSchool80sHey Laz, thanks for sharing. What a strange combination of shows. I remember watching Battlestar when it was in primetime, but not really in syndication where I grew up. I do remember watching Family Affair in syndication, but it was during the day (not late at night). I do have fond memories of staying up late to watch Elvira's scary movies, but it might be more fond memories of just seeing the sexy Elvira herself. One thing I remember staying up late on Saturday nights to watch in the market I grew up was wrestling shows. They showed World Class Championship Wrestling out of Dallas late on Saturday nights and then I also remember that was when GLOW was on as well. I also loved getting to stay up late to watch Saturday Night Live when I was deemed old enough for that. Late Night Re-runs (Circa mid-80s)Jul 22, 2017View
4002ArticleOldSchool80sWhat a fun treasure hunt. It is so amazing how something so small or seemingly insignificant can cause nostalgia to come flooding in. To me it can be just a certain smell and I am taken back in an instant. That's what it is all about for me, the feelings of intense nostalgia that those lovely things can bring me.Raiders of the Lost ToysJul 22, 2017View
4003ArticleOldSchool80sI like Vanity as Storm and Sherilyn Fenn as Rogue. Bob Hoskins as Wolverine was the biggest miss for me. I does have the hairy forearms, but I think you need somebody taller and much more muscular. Nobody perfect comes to mind, but maybe you go with David Hasselhoff, Chuck Norris or even cast against the norm and go Carl Weathers. I don't know, but I think Professor X and Wolverine are 2 most important casting decisions and you have to get them as right as possible. My Dream Cast for a 1987 X-Men movieJul 22, 2017View
