1759ArticleVaporman87I've received some pretty disappointing gifts on my birthdays. Typically they were clothing items (which I DESPISED getting for any occasion outside of purposefully accompanying a parent into a store for that sole reason). However, the most disappointment I ever remember feeling after having received a gift was an elementary school Christmas gift exchange. I remember seeing my friends opening gifts that I thought were pretty neat, and hoping I too got a good one. But the person who had drawn my name was one of the less fortunate students, and his gift was naturally that of a child in his predicament. Used and dirty. I think it was a Star Wars action figure (at least that was the scale of it, the Kenner 3 3/4" figs). Out of the package, terribly used, and in a plain brown box with tape keeping it closed. Much as I tried to hold it back, the tears came forth. I felt embarrassment that I was the only one in my class with such a gift. As a child, it's difficult to understand why something better could not be afforded. I wish I could have a redo on that and just show some appreciation... rise above the embarrassment. But what's done is done. Jan 05, 2015View
4645ArticlejkatzI've said it before, but the internet was a lot more fun back in the 2000s. Newgrounds, Ebaums World, Myspace, etc. Freedom of speech was taken for granted and easily offended people were a minority and rightfully mocked.Everything online seemed fresh and exciting. Maybe it had something to do with the overall culture, I don't know. Also, you forgot about The Matrix movies. Those were huge back in the day.The 2000s decade wasn't that badOct 28, 2018View
5502ArticleVaporman87I've seen at least some part of all of these films except for Little Monsters, so I may have to give that a try. Overall though, a stellar list. These are all great films for Halloween viewing. Well done, sir.5 Retro Movies You Should Watch For HalloweenSep 20, 2021View
2339ArticleMr MagicI've seen it a countless number of times on Nickelodeon. Speaking of oddness, I've noticed in it is that when Stu and Grandpa are watching TV, it looks as though they're looking at nothing but colors and there's background music. Odd TV show episodes #1Jun 30, 2015View
4510ArticlejkatzI've seen some of these ads and similar ones in vintage comic books, and I think the reason they went with illustrations was that photographs didn't come out good with the type of printing old comics used. That and it was probably cheaper/quicker to have a guy draw everything instead of meticulously photographing hundreds of items. I want that Darth Vadar shirt badly. Wouldn't mind some of those posters either... Super Hero Toy Catalog 1978Aug 08, 2018View
2341ArticlepikachuloverI've seen this episode a few times on Telemundo they used to air (the Spanish dub) quite frequently. I've also seen the English version. I think it's a pretty funny episode. Odd TV show episodes #1Jul 01, 2015View
3970ArticleCaps 2.0I've spoken to Morgan Fairchild's publicist about an interview, and while she was too busy for an interview at the time I sent the message, I was told that she did thank me for the interest. I'm planning on sending out another interview request to Morgan's representative in August, and if she does agree to an interview, I will be asking about "Paper Dolls".1984 TV Guide Fall Preview: ABCJun 23, 2017View
1951Articleechidna64I've totally been there Hoju, after I had my tonsils removed and ate ice cream for a week, my diet was completely thrown into a loop. That's so awesome that you were elected homecoming king! I was voted "Most Changed" in my high school yearbook but nothing must compare to that tremendous honor! Thank you for sharing these memories with us, even if some of them were painful.Being The Fat KidFeb 10, 2015View
3645ArticleRick Ace RhodesI've tried getting into M.A.S.K. since I was a fan of it's sequel Vor-Tech. But I just couldn't do it. It seemed just far too cheesy in some regards compared to other 80's cartoons. I never really got that feeling when I used to watch old episodes of things like the original Transformers series or GI Joe series on YouTube. It also seemed kind of bland in some regards. The Rebirth of M.A.S.K. and the Nostalgia StruggleDec 31, 2016View
