ArticleVaporman87What a great trip through some of your most precious memories. Thanks for that Rick. It's a sad reality that nothing lasts forever, and that is especially difficult to swallow when it is something special from your youth that fades away. Malls (like some other unique retail and service businesses) are a strange dichotomy; existing for the profit, yet the most meaningful thing they offer is free... youthful memories. To see something that you feel you have some kind of stake in, as though the time you spent there earned you some say in how it's fate plays out, slowly disintegrate before you... it's heartbreaking. I've seen many such places come and go. Places that meant a great deal to me because of the memories that were made there. They feel sacred, to a certain extent. It makes me wonder what places I and my family frequent now that my own children will feel the same way about.  Nov 05, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87This sounds JUST LIKE how I want my upcoming Thanksgiving to play out. Just perfect in every way. Yes, it's like the red-headed stepchild of the holiday season for some. But for me, it's like a nice, delicious, warm-up for Christmas. You can't beat that.Thanksgiving MemoriesNov 05, 2015View

ArticleNLoganGoonies II The Fratellis' Last Stand totally happened. Came out in 1987. They even had a video game for it. Yeah right, just like the time you ate your weight in Godfather's Pizza, or the time Michael Jackson came to your house to use the bathroom? Well maybe it never happened, but it should'a. The plot of the game was for Mikey to save the rest of the Goonies and a mermaid that were captured by the Fratellis. <img style="width: 407px; height: 253px;" src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/th7MNmWrkH0/maxresdefault.jpg">Top 5 80's Movie SequelsNov 05, 2015View
ArticleHoju Koolander@NLogan Yeah, totally aware of this and have always appreciated the fact that they really created poster art that could have been used for the theoretical film. There's also the "announcement" by Donner, Feldman and Astin that the real sequel is in the works, but we shall see.Top 5 80's Movie SequelsNov 06, 2015View

ArticleNLoganI also like Karate Kid II and really liked how the film started where the first film left off. In the parking lot after the tournament showing just how depraved John Kreese was by how he treated his students after in dealing with their loss. The Wrath of Khan is one of the best Star Trek movies for sure. I was always creeped out by those crazy earwigs they put in Chekov's ears. Top 5 80's Movie SequelsNov 08, 2015View
ArticleVaporman87All of those masks are stellar for their time, and look great even by today's standards. Especially the Gremlins Collector's masks. Those are just incredible. I would have LOVED to have a matching costume for a mask like that for Halloween. I don't recall ever seeing masks of this quality around as kid. At least not in your typical department store. Everything was Ben Cooper or Collegeville.Retro Rubber MasksNov 09, 2015View
