3085 | Article | Vaporman87 | This sounds JUST LIKE how I want my upcoming Thanksgiving to play out. Just perfect in every way. Yes, it's like the red-headed stepchild of the holiday season for some. But for me, it's like a nice, delicious, warm-up for Christmas. You can't beat that. | Thanksgiving Memories | Nov 05, 2015
3084 | Article | Vaporman87 | What a great trip through some of your most precious memories. Thanks for that Rick. It's a sad reality that nothing lasts forever, and that is especially difficult to swallow when it is something special from your youth that fades away. Malls (like some other unique retail and service businesses) are a strange dichotomy; existing for the profit, yet the most meaningful thing they offer is free... youthful memories. To see something that you feel you have some kind of stake in, as though the time you spent there earned you some say in how it's fate plays out, slowly disintegrate before you... it's heartbreaking. I've seen many such places come and go. Places that meant a great deal to me because of the memories that were made there. They feel sacred, to a certain extent. It makes me wonder what places I and my family frequent now that my own children will feel the same way about. | Memories of the Nanuet Mall | Nov 05, 2015
3086 | Article | massreality | Wow. That pulled on the heart strings a bit. I think we all have places like that from our youth. | Memories of the Nanuet Mall | Nov 05, 2015

3099 | Article | Hoju Koolander | Very thorough story. I had a great affection for the Warner Bros. Studio Store as well. They were the only place with a dedicated super hero section, so I was always up for that. Suncoast was also a favorite, so many weird and previously unknown videos to discover. | Memories of the Nanuet Mall | Nov 11, 2015
3101 | Article | Rick Ace Rhodes | @Hoju Thanks man. I wish the Warner Bros store was still around too. I got plenty of action figures related to DC while it was open. | Memories of the Nanuet Mall | Nov 12, 2015

3083 | Article | Vaporman87 | I think that as the years have gone by, my appreciation for Gremlins 2 and Ghostbusters 2 has grown. When I first watched both of those films I was disappointed. Both felt like cartoon versions of their original films. Gremlins 2 was more campy and silly than it's original, which had a bit darker tone to it. The same could be said of Ghostbusters 2, though to a lesser extent. I suppose that could be a result of my having aged 4 to 5 years from the time I watched the originals, but I still feel that same way watching the originals and sequels of both films now, so who knows. | Top 5 80's Movie Sequels | Nov 04, 2015
3087 | Article | NLogan | Goonies II The Fratellis' Last Stand totally happened. Came out in 1987. They even had a video game for it. Yeah right, just like the time you ate your weight in Godfather's Pizza, or the time Michael Jackson came to your house to use the bathroom? Well maybe it never happened, but it should'a. The plot of the game was for Mikey to save the rest of the Goonies and a mermaid that were captured by the Fratellis. <img style="width: 407px; height: 253px;" src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/th7MNmWrkH0/maxresdefault.jpg"> | Top 5 80's Movie Sequels | Nov 05, 2015 |
