3362 | Article | Vaporman87 | I'm pretty sure I received several Smurfs cards. They were pretty popular in the early 80's, when I was in elementary school. Sometimes Star Wars would make it into the mix too. For me, making my "receiving box" was the highlight. I always did my best to deck that thing out and outdo the others. 3991 | Article | Vaporman87 | I'm pretty sure you've had the most retro-privileged life of any person on Earth. A person could make 10 childhoods out your one. But as far as both TRU and Kaybee (or KB) are concerned, I was more of a KB kid. I think because we didn't really have a Toys 'R Us nearby for most of my childhood. However, there was a Kaybee Toys in the nearest mall for a long time. Later I came to appreciate KB for their well worn stock. It became a hunting ground for me in the late '90s when the new Godzilla movie was soon to arrive, and the King of the Monsters and Godzilla Wars Trendmasters toys could still be found on the occasional KB shelf. I was fetching good money for those on Ebay, while bolstering my own collection (man, I've been a member of Ebay for almost 20 years. That's insane). | Toy Store Dreams | Jul 22, 2017
4779 | Article | Vaporman87 | I'm really enjoying this series. Once again, your honesty and openness regarding your years in school dealing with weight issues has made for a really great read. It's good that at least some aspects of your school life improved. I felt bad that your son had to basically go through a move similar to yours. Losing friends like that would have been devastating for me. I was extremely shy and quiet in school too, except to those who were friends or friendly to me. I look forward to more. | Being An 80's and 90's Fat Kid Part 3 | Jan 08, 2019

3724 | Article | Vaporman87 | I'm really surprised by some of the names on this list. As many Rumbles as have taken place, to think somebody like Kane or Savage never won one is crazy. | 8 Great Wrestlers Who Never Won The Royal Rumble | Feb 06, 2017

2477 | Article | kstrom22 | I'm so glad to see my own experiences were shared by others from different times and places. And so grateful at the response to my own little slice of history. Now I live in Arizona: no real "trees" around here for tree-houses, but I'm too lazy to build one anyway. There is a new playground right across the street; it has a tower, tunnels, a true modern castle. Someday, if I have kids, they'll be the kings and queens. | Castles of Yesteryear | Aug 07, 2015 |
