5463 | Article | Benjanime | i'm guessing with it just disappearing without a home video release that this was the case of the network having someone new in charge of management and slowly making that transition where they felt pok'emon and other anime needed to make their way into programming. sad to see ambitious projects like this fade away into obscurity, i'm sure it would have gotten more interesting by its second season. | Aug 07, 2021

3164 | Article | kidcoffee | I'm happy to report that on the trip home, true to her word, my mother purchased me my very first Atari. There were very strict rules about its use ie only on weekends and I had to prove my homework was done, but otherwise I was now free to game. We were free to game I should say as both of my parents got in on the action with me. I don't remember a time I've seen my father so happy as when he was playing Pac-Man. He wasn't very good at it, but man he loved to play. As for my mother's aversion I did ask. She blames an article in Woman's Day which stated that video games are responsible for tearing apart families. I'm not sure I buy it especially seeing that my mother never read Woman's Day, but thankfully her hatred was short lived. As for the Greeks, I know. That's all I'll say about that. Overall it was one of the most memorable Christmases I've ever had. Well actually there was one other, but I'll save that one for next year. One last aside, I forgot to add in that I also illustrated my my cover photo. Not a big deal, but I did want to mention it. Anyway thank you for the kind words!!! | Perfect Game | Dec 10, 2015
4174 | Article | Lazlo | I'm inclined to think that the '80s were kind of a golden age of comic strips, there were so many quality strips including the ones mentioned here. Good times! | 80s Comic Strips | Oct 10, 2017

2245 | Article | jkatz | I'm late to the party on this, but I read a story about Michael Ulsan (who's been involved with pretty much everything Batman related, ever) was meeting with some Kenner people, who through their contract were only allowed to make toys based of the movie and comics and apparently were out of ideas. Uslan shows them a bunch of old issues from the 50s, aka the ones with all the really crazy, outlandish stuff, and Kenner used them as inspiration for expanding their toyline. Always wondered if that's how my beloved "Capture Claw Batman" came to be.. | Kenner Action Toy Guide '94 | May 07, 2015
3165 | Article | mickyarber | I'm not an overly big fan of horror movies, so I've not watched nearly as many as others probably have, but I did see Silent Night, Deadly Night one time. I was traveling with my Dad and we watched it in a motel. Scared the crap out of me when I was about 9. | Top 5 Favorite Christmas Horror Movies | Dec 10, 2015
