3306 | Article | echidna64 | A lot of this struck home- the constant ridicule and the feeling of being isolated from the rest of the group. One time in 5th grade I had 3rd degree sunburn and so what started as a few kids slapping me on the neck turned into the whole class turning against me and hitting me with their binders. The bullying only stopped when I fought back. I could take the criticism but when someone else was being bullied it was a different story. I got into a fight on the bus and I actually sent the little jerk to the hospital. His face swelled up like a grape and he was actually so embarrassed after so much trash talking that he changed schools. After that everyone I was like a legend and not only did people not mess with me, they left my entire family and my younger brothers alone lol | Feb 02, 2016
3307 | Article | Rick Ace Rhodes | Thanks for the comments guys. This was a hard one to write, I actually got a little emotional when I was creating that sheet of paper photo. I'm glad to hear your own stories about bullying and overcoming it. | Being Bullied | Feb 02, 2016
3308 | Article | massreality | Wow Rick. That was one heck of a journey. Thanks for sharing, I know that wasn't easy to write. | Being Bullied | Feb 03, 2016
3313 | Article | OldSchool80s | Thanks for sharing and glad things turned out better in the end. It is sad to think how much physical and psychological damage people can cause so recklessly. | Being Bullied | Feb 03, 2016
3431 | Article | mickyarber | This is such a great article my friend. Stuff like this is always tough to write, but I think it's necessary sometimes to get a taste of the bad memories to go along with all the good ones we all share here. I experience a fair share of bullying in school, and as a parent of school children, those memories stay near the front of my mind. I've told my daughters numerous times to not let themselves be bullied. I don't think any kid should go through what you described here. I've told them to go to their teacher when and if this happens. If they don't fix the problem, and it persists, I've taught them how to take matters into their own hands. Really good article though, one of my favorites I've read here. | Being Bullied | Mar 11, 2016
5272 | Article | retrocrunch | When i think of Bullies, it always reminds me of the movie My Bodyguard. great movie and it highlights so well the pain of being bullied. Luckily, the boy in the film had someone to protect him, and even he was bullied. | Being Bullied | Sep 06, 2020
3296 | Article | Vaporman87 | It's certainly true that there were a great many flaws in the WCW, but they were the same flaws that plagued the WWF/WWE as well. Most of those flaws centered around the extent to which things could become corny beyond repair. But for every David Arquette winning a title belt in WCW, there was a Mae Young giving birth to plastic hands in the WWE. LOL | In Defense of World Championship Wrestling | Feb 01, 2016
3299 | Article | comic_book_fan | i always defend wcw they were the best wrestling product wwe had to resort to crazy to beat them | In Defense of World Championship Wrestling | Feb 02, 2016
3301 | Article | Mr Magic | I don't have anything against WCW personally. Guys like Goldberg, Raven and NWO made it worth watching. | In Defense of World Championship Wrestling | Feb 02, 2016
3302 | Article | Hoju Koolander | I totally remember watching the Robocop appearance live and later on, Chucky. All I can say is that Ernest "The Cat" Miller, The Misfits, The Demon, Chris Jericho, Raven and The Flock all kept me watching during the Monday Night Wars until Arquette won the belt, but I never went back to WWE. WCW for the win! | In Defense of World Championship Wrestling | Feb 02, 2016 |
