2083ArticleHoju KoolanderI totally know the Kimberly boots you were talking about. Your teacher may not have been hip, but at least she wasn't ancient, trying to tie in some contemporary themes. Mar 17, 2015View
3549ArticleHoju KoolanderI totally missed that photo of you as The Hatbox Ghost during my original read through, you continue to impress. How many people recognized the character?Disney's Haunted Mansion Hat Box Ghost Dec 10, 2016View
3302ArticleHoju KoolanderI totally remember watching the Robocop appearance live and later on, Chucky. All I can say is that Ernest "The Cat" Miller, The Misfits, The Demon, Chris Jericho, Raven and The Flock all kept me watching during the Monday Night Wars until Arquette won the belt, but I never went back to WWE. 1989ArticleHoju KoolanderI totally thought you were going to get away with it and that Jessie would help you escape out the window or something. At least you weren't there to steal his games. I had a "friend" who did that that I wish I could have seen smacked with a 2x4! Uh, what was the premise of Normy's Beach Babe O Rama? Definitely never heard of that one.How to ruin a friendship without really tryingFeb 12, 2015View
4170ArticleHoju KoolanderI totally understand the obsessing over female celebrities. I was all about Tiffani Amber Thiessen with Teen Beat magazine photos all over my bedroom walls and school folders. I gave up being so forward about it in high school when a cute girl asked, "So are you a stalker or something?" 3994ArticleVaporman87I tried so hard to stay awake some nights as a kid, but often found it to be futile. However, when I was able to do so, Elvira was always there to greet me. Her and old Godzilla movies. And if I made it almost all the way through, I would be treated to random women in leotards and leg warmers sticking their butts in my face while saxophone music played. Seriously... who was watching this?Late Night Re-runs (Circa mid-80s)Jul 22, 2017View
5121ArticleVaporman87I truly believe the world needs to be better flame retarded. I mean, just look at all the wildfires we have. We should be holding signs in protest that read, "Retard the World!" But in all seriousness, having held some of these items in my hands, I can say that Tonka sure gave it their best effort in an attempt to compete with Transformers, but in the end GoBots was just missing that special something that isn't always capable of being pinpointed. I had some of the figures myself, and I did play with them, but it just wasn't the same.GoBots Merchandise RevisitedFeb 07, 2020View
2504ArticleVaporman87I typically relied on renting for my fixes, unless I was certain that I wanted the game in my collection. I did some trades, but not often. Most of my friends didn't have the same console as me. My best friend Phil did, and I would trade with him from time to time. We had several mom and pop rental shops in the area, and though they usually took their sweet time getting in the newest titles, they did have a decent selection for being in such a depressed area.A Summer QuestAug 12, 2015View
4261ArticlesquidbeeI understand your excitement at finding the elusive Pizza Hut dine-in restaurant. My wife and I were heading to a conference in Santa Fe earlier this year, and I would fill with joy at spotting the familiar rooftop as we passed through poverty-stricken towns. Unfortunately, once we got close to the buildings they were all shuttered or broken down. I have extremely fond memories of my local Pizza Hut, and I probably still carry around the calories from all the book club personal pan pizzas I ate as a child.I don't know who thought it was a good idea to reward a child with high-calorie food for performing a sedentary task. 4830ArticlejkatzI unfortunately never got to experience the PS2 in its prime, but I did pick up a bunch of titles for cheap a few years ago. My personal favorites would have to be Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, Max Payne, and of course, GTA San Andreas. I couldn't get into Vice City for some reason so I never finished it, but I did enjoy cruising around the streets of Miami while blasting Iron Maiden, Judas Priest....and The Human League. I didn't have too many games for the PS3: just Heavy Rain (really enjoyed it), Skyrim (loved it), and Read Dead Redemption (liked it, never finished it). Now that I have a PS4, I already have a lot of games, including Spider-Man, RDR 2, Doom, plus a few more I can't remember right now. All in all, not bad for a kid who grew up without a console because his parents hated video games. The Playstation Experience - Part 2Feb 02, 2019View
