1780ArticlepikachuloverWhen I think of what some of my female realities in the 1980s were wearing bear in mind I was only really aware for the latter part of the decade around '86 or so. The 2 things that really stand out for me personally were huge glasses and big curly hair. Women's Fashion of the 80sJan 12, 2015View
1788ArticlepikachuloverIt looks like your Moondreamer doll is wearing a dream tail in her hair. I have an old Crystal doll from childhood that could use some outfit replacement parts. Popcorn Pretties are an obscure toy line that seems to have gotten over shadowed by the Cupcake dolls. People mistake them for Cupcake dolls. I never owned one of those smaller Disney Princess dolls. I had a few of the bigger Barbie sized ones, but I also wanted the smaller ones. Although I think this is when the princess franchise as a whole really came to be. Ms. Heavenly Hippo for some reason reminded me of Henrietta Hippo from New Zoo Revue. I like the pig doll. It's cute. I should be drawn to it my mom collects pig items. It seems anamorphic dolls don't seem to be popular after the recently ill fated Pinkie Cooper dolls. Miss M's Top 10 Retro Toys of 2014!Jan 13, 2015View
1807ArticlepikachuloverRescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck were my favorites. I even have the lunchboxes for each of those cartoons. I had to beg my parents to take me there. I hadn't been to Disneyland since 1986 when they took me there for my birthday. We went on Columbus Day back when the schools still gave that holiday off. I didn't get autographs, but I did get pictures! I really wanted to see Gadget most of all. I was so happy to meet her. My mom even got into and took a picture next to the Grammi Gummi standup. If I remember correctly the boats had recording of the characters voices. I almost crashed a car in the autopia! Did you get the map the blank spaces that you had go around the area to get it stamped? I had that poster up in my room for years. It got so faded! I forgot what happened to it. My parents also bought me a small plush Chip doll. I was disappointed they didn't have Gadget ones. Do remember that special that KHJ/KCAL showed on Disney Afternoon live? 1822ArticlepikachuloverYou're lucky you had nice time. Mine was traumatizing. The strange thing was there were a lot of kids in my class who failed kindergarten and were there for another year so they knew what to do. I was just a rookie. My First Day of KindergartenJan 23, 2015View
1835ArticlepikachuloverWhen I was between about the ages 4-6 I really liked the show Today's Special. My mom gave me this old grey carnival prize mouse. I named Muffy. I took her everywhere with me. The head got all floppy from carrying her around in a headlock. When I was about 6 and a half she fell in my wading pool, and could not be salvaged. I think my pikachu eventually became the replacement Muffy. When I was telling my little cousin how long I had the pikachu I realized I had owned it for half my life. I got it right before my sophomore year of high school. Somebody gave that same cousin a Chucky doll from the Child's Play movies and she would play with it like a baby doll. 1847ArticlepikachuloverSam from Today's Special used to scare me when I first watched the show. There were some Cabbage Patch dolls that were more geared towards boys they were MLB dolls. They only came in male dolls. They are called All Stars and are from 1986. Stuffed Animals of the 80'sJan 27, 2015View
1851ArticlepikachuloverThe school dealt with a few more shady people including the people who sold class rings and graduation supplies. I didn't really want to be a model anyway I was just curious. Model StudentJan 29, 2015View
1855ArticlepikachuloverI've been to Citywalk a few times, but I've never been to the actual park. I remember my aunt rode the ET ride and got mad because he pronounced her name wrong. Universal Studios Hollywood '92Jan 30, 2015View
