5773 | Article | RetroOtaku620 | I've never had a Game.com, but I heard it was terrible. I'm kind of glad I didn't get one. I was more of a Nintendo boy, anyway. | Oct 09, 2023
4932 | Article | jkatz | I've never even heard of Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. Just from looking at the photo I can guess why. Are you going to cover the rest of the movies? I don't follow TMNT but I know there's at least a few more out there (not including the Michael Bay ones). | The Rise and Fall of TMNT | May 17, 2019
2167 | Article | pikachulover | I've never broke anything either. I messed up some of my teeth and sprained my ankle few times. It's funny when I was a kid adults used to think I would break something because how wild I used to play. | Rec Center Memories - Chicken Fight | Mar 27, 2015
4464 | Article | Superman | I've never been to SeaWorld, but I did once see a dolphin show at the zoo. It was fun. Some of the things you describe, like the audience getting splashed, happened to me there. | Manatee Genitalia | Jun 18, 2018
1963 | Article | jkatz | I've never been to retro junk so this article is pretty much useless to me as far as nostalgia goes. But that Rocky 4 poster is amazing! I approved this piece just for that. | Remembering RetroJunk | Feb 11, 2015
2032 | Article | SegaFanatic | I've never been a large Family Guy fan, but I love the Gremlins reference with that chick from The Nanny (Fran Drecher, whatever her name is), made me laugh like crazy when I first saw it. | 80s Pop Culture References in Family Guy | Feb 21, 2015
5574 | Article | Vaporman87 | I've never been a fan of Super Smash Brothers. The concept is great on paper. But the execution is just dreadful. There is too much on screen action. I lose track of where I am half the time, and things happen so fast that you can't really create any kind of strategy. All you do is just mash buttons and hope you get more hits than the opponent. I'd much prefer a standard fighting game where I can concentrate on my moves and strategy. | Super Smash Bros. Melee: Star Studded Sequel | Jan 05, 2022
5593 | Article | onipar | I've never been a big RPG fan, which is probably why I haven't played this game yet (despite owning a copy), but I do definitely plan to play and your article has encouraged me to do so sooner than I planned. Great stuff here! | Why Chrono Trigger matters | Jan 22, 2022
5554 | Article | onipar | I've never actually played this one, and really only first heard about it maybe a few years back (and then totally forgot it exists). I have a copy on my retro handheld, but I'd love to get a real cart of it. I haven't checked yet, but I suspect they are expensive. Nice article, thanks for the reminder about this gem. | Why Decap Attack is an underrated classic | Nov 23, 2021
4641 | Article | Vaporman87 | I've mentioned before that I don't feel like the 2000's was a bad decade by any means. Many key things in my life happened in that decade: - I married my wife in 2002 (we recently celebrated our 16th anniversary). - My first two children were born in 2006 and 2008. - My work situation improved when my dad was able to secure a loan in 2005 to buy his two brothers' shares of our business, eventually leading to me becoming owner in 2012. These are major events that were huge positives in my life. As far as the culture of the 2000s is concerned, that is where I believe it doesn't really hold up well against it's predecessors. Every decade has its technological, creative, and social advances. But you can't really point to any one thing from the 2000s that truly defines it. At least, not a very positive one (9-11 is not something you want to "define" anything). The '90s can claim the explosion of the internet as its crowning achievement. The '80s are defined by a number of major things... the explosion of home computing and gaming, an explosion of entertainment outlets - cable and satellite among them, ending the Cold War, etc. These are positive things that changed the course of history and/or our lives in monumental ways. This is not to say that the 2000's had none of that. There were certainly some positive things taking place that were influential to many. But perhaps none that really define the decade. In my opinion, it seems more like a transition decade, or one that simply saw improvements to that which we already enjoyed. But it will always be a matter of opinion. So I certainly am not claiming that any of this is an ultimate truth for all. | The 2000s decade wasn't that bad | Oct 26, 2018 |
