4276	Article	CaseyJones	It was ok. But you shouldn't be starting each question with ("cool" "I see" "ok") and then jumping into your next prepared question. You should be asking follow up questions to some of these answers. Show that you have interest in what he is saying rather than just trying to get the interview done. Plus some of his answers were really interesting and I would have liked to read more. I mean he talked about Harvey Weinstein almost stealing Fanboys from him and all you said was "ok" and then started talking about The Goldbergs.		Feb 08, 2018

849	Article	Vaporman87	It was just a fact of marketing toys back then that, if you didn't get a half hour cartoon to go along with your product, it had far less a chance to succeed. I don't remember anything about the Golden Girls. Though, I can see from the commercials the reason for that. She-Ra was a spin off of He-Man, which had a huge following with boys. So, as a boy, you were far more likely to know about She-Ra (and in many cases, buy some of the figures). Also, She-Ra had several supporting male characters, and even her arch nemesis was male. With Golden Girls, it appears the entire cast was female. I'm guessing this tied her success to being able to defeat other Mattel lines like Barbie. Not the competition you want for your toy line. 3047	Article	Hoju Koolander	It was crazy to realize that from the Nintendo page on down, I had at least one item featured on every page at some point in my youth. Now most of it came second hand from garage sales as opposed to Christmas morning, but I totally played with most everything featured. My favorite was definitely the WWF toys, owning that ring was a dream come true. I was never so lucky fixing MOTU figures, but those I tended to be more gentle with. In any event my mother liked to throw a wrench in most of my plans growing up, but I suppose we also shouldn't have been shaking down the neighborhood kids for their money.
